Good for you! It’s truly a blessing to have this time! Even though I’m in the office I still feel involved. Every day my husband sends me pictures & videos so I’m not missing out. School is only 1-2 hrs/day. I can check my kid’s progress on Time4Learning & print resources for the areas they’re struggling with. It’s actually fun to be more hands on & allows us to connect their school lessons to real life in real time. I’m the artsy & math savvy parent so I get to shine there, while my husband leans more science & history. We lean into our strengths which is also teaching our kids how adults work together to achieve goals.

I would love that! Thank you. We have used khan Academy, IXL, splash, time4learning, education. com. We also use traditional textbooks. Still, we haven’t found one that “fits.”

Public education wasn’t like this when I went to school. Parents owned their kids not the school and we actually learned in school and were actively taught. I yanked my daughter from school and homeschooled her. She learned nothing in school accept for the feeling that she couldn’t learn. She was brilliant, it was the teachers that sucked. Homeschool your kids. Time4learning has a great self paced online program that organizes their work and teachers who will grade it at the end of the year.

We did have it, it was called home economics and they took it out of schools to focus on academics and stem. I encourage everyone to look into homeschooling courses that offer way more non core subjects. Time4Learning is a great web based program that offers a lot.

I've been using Time4Learning, a paid service that provides the basics. Other online homeschool tools are available too. I reserve Fridays for fun days, doing activities like science experiments, gardening, or educational outings without computers. You can sign up for field trips or take tours as needed. Get a whiteboard and dry-erase markers to help with subjects like math. Several online groups and forums offer support. Check your state laws to avoid issues.

And these emotionally unhinged people are teaching your children... Tell me again why more parents won't homeschool? Programs like Time4Learning exist and make it so easy. It's 40$/month, tracks grading and attendance for you. Please, get your children out of the woke schools.
🚨 WOW! A teacher at Temecula Valley Unified School District confronted and harassed moms at a student walkout for opposing boys in girls’ locker rooms. Shameful! Teachers should be protecting kids, not attacking parents.

Many Americans are concerned you might try to take advantage of stressed Homeschool Parents, who might be tempted to purchase your product to Homeschool their children, to save them time & energy. We are concerned you might use your curriculum to push the Progressive [rebrand.ly/ProgressiveAgenda) Globalist Woke agenda now being banned in most US public schools. We again remind all “Homeschool” / “Public School" Parents how important it is to vet the sources of any education you are considering. Please ask these questions below yourselves, and any other questions of your own that you feel are important, of any potential "canned" and/or “online”, and/or any public/private traditional school you are considering subjecting your children to. That said, does your curriculum emphasize the "3Rs" (Reading, Writing & Arithmetic), teach Cursive Writing, How to write term papers with citations, Trigonometry, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Engineering, Astronomy, vigorous Physical Education, Personal Finance Education, Personal Nutrition Education, Personal Health Education, Personal Exercise Education, Philosophy, the Founding Principles of America, Natural Law, Natural Rights of the individual, Classical Liberalism, The Natural Right of the individual to Establish Truth for Themselves using their own observations & reasoning, the Nature of humankind in the Natural State, distrust of government, the need to distinguish between "organic" information and "artificial"/"machinated" information, that polls, statistics and graphs often reflect the desired result of the person or organization funding them, unreliability (and ease of censorship, propaganda, and revision) of information found on the internet, rugged individualism, Self-Sufficiency, Basic Civics, Traditional Binary Relationships, & fundamental ethics. Does your curriculum teach the Divine Right of Kings and the ideas of the "The Enlightenment" that led to the American, and French Revolutions, and the eventual demise of the "Divine Right of Kings" Philosophy of Government? Does your curriculum study study the differences between the period of “Modernity in Philosophy” and the Post-Modern period of Philosophy? Does your curriculum teach the major Metaphysical Paradigm shifts in the past 3000 years? Does your curriculum teach “Scientific Method”? Does your curriculum teach settled Physics as being the “Law of Physics? And, settled Metaphysics as being the “Laws of Nature?” Does the required reading include Hobbes, "Leviathan", John Locke's, "2 Treatises of Government", Thomas Paine's "Common Sense", other writings from "The Enlightenment", the US Constitution, The Federalist & Anti-Federalist papers, The minutes of the meeting that led to the drafting & ratification of the Constitution & Bill of Rights. It certainly is! Yes, Synthesis is a solid tool, though it does come with a higher price tag. There are others like Time4Learning, Power Homeschool, Kahoot!, Carnegie Learning, IXL, Acellus Academy, Prodigy, Scratch, and DreamBox. Many others too that lean into gamified learning with a more focused scope. That said, those aren’t quite the tools I’m hinting at here. With AI advancing so fast, we’re now able to build custom systems that fit our kids’ unique needs, reducing our dependence on existing platforms. Plus, the costs of running the Large Language Models (LLMs) behind these AI tools are only going to drop over time. I want to be clear—these are just tools. I’m not suggesting they’ll replace human connection. But I do think this next wave of solutions will massively boost our ability to make a bigger impact on our kids’ learning. My goal is to flag that we’re stepping into an era where tools like Synthesis are about to evolve quickly. Platforms like Lovable, Replit, and Cursor are empowering even non-expert coders to create systems that tap into LLMs. Soon, we’ll see public platforms that act more like personal tutors—tracking progress and tailoring programs to each child, rather than sticking to the rigid, preset paths most systems offer now. Sure, my post was a bit of a broad 'motherhood statement', but we’re already seeing real-world examples pop up that turn this into more than just talk. It’s eye-opening for those who haven’t dug into these advancements yet. Still learning myself, I am😉!

I used Grok 3 to implement a 3-month framework to complete the entire 6th grade curriculum. concepts, not just rushing through busywork. Assumptions and Ground Rules Timeframe: 12 weeks, starting today (February 18, 2025), ending mid-May 2025. Daily Commitment: 6-8 hours/day, 5 days/week, with breaks. This is intense but mimics accelerated programs. Focus: Core skills and concepts aligned with typical U.S. 6th-grade standards (e.g., Common Core or similar). Adjust if your state differs. Approach: Prioritize understanding over rote memorization; use hands-on and real-world applications to speed up retention. Materials: You’ll need to source textbooks, online resources (like Khan Academy, Time4Learning, or Sonlight), and basic supplies. I’ll suggest free or accessible options where possible. Weekly Breakdown (12 Weeks Total) Each week crams about 3 weeks of a standard curriculum. Subjects are integrated where possible (e.g., writing about science topics). Adjust based on your daughter’s pace and interests. Week 1-3: Foundations and Ramp-Up Math (15 hours/week): Focus: Fractions, decimals, ratios, and intro to algebra. Week 1: Master operations with fractions and decimals (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Week 2: Ratios, proportions, and unit rates—apply to real problems (e.g., cooking, budgeting). Week 3: Algebraic expressions—variables, equations, inequalities (e.g., 2x 5 = 11). Tools: Khan Academy (free), worksheets from K5 Learning, or Math U See’s Zeta level. Language Arts (15 hours/week): Focus: Reading comprehension, writing structure, grammar. Week 1: Read short novels (e.g., Holes by Louis Sachar) and summarize themes; basic sentence diagramming. Week 2: Write a 5-paragraph essay (intro, 3 body, conclusion) on a book; learn punctuation and verb tenses. Week 3: Analyze nonfiction (articles from National Geographic Kids); expand vocabulary (50 new words). Tools: Free eBooks from Project Gutenberg, Grammarly (free version), Scholastic guides. Science (10 hours/week): Focus: Life science basics (cells, ecosystems). Week 1: Cell structure and function—build a model with household items (clay, beads). Week 2: Ecosystems and food webs—map a local park or backyard example. Week 3: Human body systems (digestive, circulatory)—simple experiments (pulse rate after exercise). Tools: CK-12 (free online textbook), YouTube (Amoeba Sisters). Social Studies (10 hours/week): Focus: Ancient civilizations. Week 1: Mesopotamia—timeline and key inventions (wheel, writing). Week 2: Egypt—pharaohs, pyramids, Nile River’s role. Week 3: Greece—democracy, myths, map key cities. Tools: BBC Bitesize (free), library books, Google Earth for virtual tours. Week 4-8: Building Complexity Math: Week 4: Percents and data analysis (mean, median, mode)—graph family stats. Week 5: Geometry—area, perimeter, volume of shapes (cubes, rectangles). Week 6: More algebra—solving multi-step equations. Week 7: Intro to integers and coordinate planes—plot points. Week 8: Review and mini-projects (e.g., design a budget). Language Arts: Week 4: Poetry—read and write haikus, analyze similes/metaphors. Week 5: Research skills—pick a topic (e.g., space), write a 2-page report. Week 6: Fiction writing—craft a short story with dialogue. Week 7: Debate prep—pick a simple issue (e.g., school uniforms), argue both sides. Week 8: Polish a portfolio of best work. Science: Week 4: Genetics—Punnett squares with coin flips. Week 5: Earth science—rocks, weathering (vinegar on chalk experiment). Week 6: Weather—track local patterns, explain fronts. Week 7: Energy—kinetic/potential demos (drop a ball). Week 8: Review with a science fair-style project. Social Studies: Week 4: Rome—Republic to Empire, aqueducts. Week 5: China—dynasties, Great Wall. Week 6: India—Maurya/Gupta, Buddhism. Week 7: Middle Ages—feudalism, castles. Week 8: Map skills—continents, trade routes. Week 9-12: Synthesis and Mastery
