In my early days, I followed the whole story. Watcom made dos compilers with DOS4GW that enabled Doom and Wolfenstein to work. They also invented a SQL. The story above is also why Sybase IQ Data Warehouse based on Anywhere wasn't compatible with TransactSQL used by Sybase ASE.

2/2niż aplikacje. Więc tworzyło się wielkie zapytania, procedury w jakimś TransactSQL czy PL/SQL - dziś łatwiej jest ściągać proste dane do aplikacji i mieszać nimi w aplikacji - jest tak samo szybko albo i szybciej - kolejny paradygmat z książek złamany.
Albo OOP - tu też można.
