The new rules aim to reduce waste, reduce environmental damage and create a level playing field for companies adopting sustainable business models, and is part of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), a cornerstone of the EU's circular economy agenda.
The textile sector is a significant contributor to the global economy, yet the industry uses many of the world’s most precious resources unsustainably, exploiting both people and nature in its wake.
We're working to create a circular economy for textiles to transform the way products are bought, used, and reused — reducing greenhouse gas emissions, slashing water use and tackling textile waste.
We work with industry leaders in the EU and globally to develop, share, and scale new practices and policies — challenging the status quo and helping the industry do business better.
