𝕀𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕋𝔼𝔻 𝕀𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝔸𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 ℂ𝕒𝕞𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕘𝕟𝕤 𝕒𝕥 𝕍𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕒𝕝 & 𝕍𝕒𝕟𝕒𝕜𝕓𝕒𝕣𝕒 MPEDA–NETFISH conducted Turtle Excluder Device (TED) awareness campaigns on 2 and 3 December 2025 at 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 (𝗗𝗶𝘂 𝗨𝗧). A total of 49 participants, including boat owners, captains, and crew members, attended the sessions. Shri Jignesh Visavadia, SCO–NETFISH, sensitised participants on the urgent need for TED adoption in trawl vessels, using PPT presentations, videos, live demonstrations, and information leaflets.
