Glad to share that the financial bid for the *Upper Lanth Irrigation Project* in Sindhekela Block, Balangir has been formally approved—marking a major step forward in our commitment to agricultural resilience and water security. With an investment of over ₹100 crore, this earth dam—Odisha’s first *digital substation-integrated irrigation infrastructure*—will revolutionize farming across Khaprakhol and Belpada blocks. It will ensure year-round irrigation, reduce dependency on erratic rainfall, and directly benefit over **38,000 farmers across 25 villages**, transforming nearly **15,000 acres** of cultivable land. Beyond irrigation, the project will also generate **210 kW of clean hydropower**, reduce carbon footprint, and improve operational efficiency through advanced digital systems—ushering in a new era of smart, sustainable infrastructure.
