Even compared to equivalent supercellular tornadoes. We have found numerous sig tors from past qlcs cases that have no signs of a TDS even at 6-8000 feet and Vrots maybe in the 30-35 knots range.

The broader and weaker signatures is soemthing we have noticed in an ongoing study here at mob looking at VROT and mesodeph (height of the mesocyclone/vortex) and intensity. Qlcs tends to be overall weaker and broader VROTs and many lack TDSs further from the radar.

We have noticed that in some of the deeper rotational areas even weak VROTs can be signficantly more prolific in qlcs with likely rather quick significant tornadoes. A lot of times these are with the bookends but can also be with the bowing segments and line breaks.

Several couplets featured Vrots of over 70 knots (including up to 97.6 kts).

Booked a flight to {𝘝𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘴-𝘸𝘢𝘩𝘧} in Poland. I know next to nothing about the place but it looks pleasant enough, and the odd Brutalist tower block caught my eye. Be impulsive.

Wet leaves and pine needles are very good reflectors and often lofted by much weaker winds (arguably non tornadic). The bulk stats in tds data show they are much more likely to occur this time of year despite very weak VROTs. If they are even tors they have minimal risk.

Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 11:31 AM Nawrocki's arrival The White House press pool and Polish reporters are gathered in the Press Briefing Room for the bilateral meeting between POTUS and Polish President Karol Nawrocki [pronounced: nah-vrots-kee]. Nawrocki arrived at the South Portico at approximately at 11:20 PM., where he was greeted by POTUS. Your pooler couldn’t witness the arrival as access was limited to TV cameras and stills. At 11:26 four F-35 fighter jets flew over the WH from the west to east to recognize the close relations between Poland and the U.S. Trump and Nawrocki watched the flyover from the South Lawn. At 11:28 AM moments later another formation of three F-16’s flew from south to north with additional F-17 flying above separately, as a tribute to a Polish AirForce F-16 pilot major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian, who died in a crash during an airshow in Poland on August 28. Nawrocki’s delegation includes only his close advisers—Head of the National Security Bureau Sławomir Cenckiewicz, Head of the International Policy Bureau Marcin Przydacz, spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz, and MEP Adam Bielan—without any officials from Prime Minister Tusk’s government. Poland’s foreign ministry says this breaks with past practice, noting that the government manages foreign policy. Nawrocki’s chancellery disputes that claim. The disagreement, widely reported in Polish media, has cast a shadow in Poland over the president’s trip.

I believe it has one of the highest recorded VROTs of all time, if not the highest

We had a bit of a lull until the first big monster showed up riding the warm front. This one was a very intense supercell with Vrots at times exceeding 60 to 65kts. This one had a very sizeable nudger push into the RFD, helping to force an RFD occlusion and triggering tgen 12/x

they were mostly discrete with very weak nudgers. Unsurprisingly the storms struggled, despite having warnable Vrots and in an excellent environment, which lines up with recent ideas regarding the necessity of nudgers. Brandon and I have hypothesized on some things 8/x

I yearn for more beefy middle-of-nowhere Plains supercells with high Vrots and vortex holes. 1. Wetonka, SD EF2 5/22/2010 2. Hereford, SD EF2 6/19/2015 3. Fort Hood, TX EF1 4/28/2023 4. Robert Lee, TX EF3 5/3/2024

I'm stating it's likely of such intensity based off of past analogs of tornadoes with similar couplets/VROTs. It may not get rated as such, but the intensity is certainly possible.

Everyone was probably busy scurrying X for photos/videos, but the same cells that produced the crazy tornadoes over the Treasure Coast cycled over the ocean and produced... 4 more probably violent tornadic waterspouts... #flwx #wxtwitter #tornado VROTS: 82.6, 77.2, 77.2, 78.2
