In this episode: "Compassionate justice sounds noble, but it's injustice to the victim: if you're compassionate to the criminal, you're by definition cruel to the people he harmed. You can't have both." #VictimsFirst #JusticeForVictims #criminal
Empathy is not a bad thing — but there's a time for empathy and a time for force, and empathy without force is just weakness. Compassionate justice sounds noble, but it's injustice to the victim: be compassionate to the criminal and you're cruel to the people he harmed. Force doesn't disappear because you find it distasteful. It only changes hands. Episode 56. Listen to the full episode on Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/3mr…

When tragedy strikes, why is the first reaction to spew hate instead of considering the victim? Reacting to a life taken with xenophobia, rather than empathy, is a failure of humanity. Think of the victims first. #Empathy #VictimsFirst #Humanity #StopHate #Community

After 14.5 years inside Allegheny County’s criminal courts assessing risk in DV and violent cases — and watching bail reform get people killed — I’ve seen enough families destroyed by this madness. Austin Metcalf’s twin brother held him as he took his last breath. That image should end every “self-defense” debate. The Metcalf family now carries trauma that rewires your brain, body, and soul forever: nightmares, crushing anxiety, rage, empty chairs at every holiday, milestones that will never happen. Put yourself in their shoes for one damn second. What if that was your brother? Your son? Sympathy belongs with the victim and the family left to survive this — not the kid who brought a knife to a shoving match he started. This is why we need real risk-based detention, not revolving-door “reform.” This is why Alina’s Law matters. Enough with the excuses. Justice for Austin Metcalf. Facts over feelings. Sympathy belongs with the victim and the family left to survive this, not the kid who brought a knife to a shoving match he started. @greggutfeld @GutfeldFox @LawEnforceToday @KennedyNation #JusticeForAustinMetcalf #VictimsFirst #EndTheMadness

Like so many others, I have been deeply. saddened and disturbed by the circumstances surrounding the death of Henry Nowak. No family should ever have to endure such a loss, and my thoughts are with Henry's loved ones as they continue to seek answers and justice. The questions being asked about this case are serious and legitimate. The public deserves transparency, and Henry's family deserves to know exactly what happened in the moments leading up to his death. As Shadow Minister for Victims and Community Justice, I Will do everything in my power to ensure these concerns are not swept under the carpet. Victims and their families must always come first, and where mistakes have been made, there must be accountability. People across Scotland and the wider UK want to know that our Justice system treats everyone fairly and equally. Trust in our institutions depends on that principle. I will continue to press for answers, stand up for victims, and support efforts to ensure that justice is served. #JusticeForHenryNowak #VictimsFirst #CommunityJustice #JusticeMatters #Accountability #EqualJustice #Scotland #ScottishParliament

Victims should come first. Notoriety should NOT pay. New York’s Son of Sam Law has dangerous loopholes that let serial killers & third parties profit from tragedy. A6730 closes those loopholes. @blaiklockBP I want every grooming-gang apologist, denier and institutional coward in this country to read these words: “They nailed her tongue to a wall to keep her still while they raped her.” Read it again. @Keir_Starmer YOU! @jessphillips YOU! @UKLabour YOU! @MayorofLondon YOU! @AndyBurnhamGM YOU! That was not “community tension”. That was not “historic failure”. That was not “safeguarding lessons to be learned”. That was evil. There should be national outrage. There should be prosecutions not only of the rapists, but of every official, councillor, police officer, social worker and minister who knew enough to act and chose reputation, politics or fear of racism over raped children. Instead, Labour tries to move on. To contain it. To manage it. To talk about “lessons” while the victims are left carrying the horror for life. Andy Burnham, the self-styled King of the North, wants power in Number 10. Fine. Then he should answer directly for what happened on his watch, in his region, under Labour’s political culture of silence, denial and institutional cowardice. The UK will be forever dirtied by this unless the full truth is forced into the open. Name the perpetrators. Name the officials. Name the councillors. Name the police failures. Name the ministers. Publish the files. Prosecute those who enabled it. Deport every foreign national offender involved. Remove citizenship where lawfully possible for dual nationals involved in such crimes. Put victims first for once. And yes, migration policy must change. Legal migration from countries with persistent integration, safeguarding, asylum-abuse and removals failures must be suspended or severely restricted until Britain can protect its own children. Pakistan: stop and review. Bangladesh: stop and review. Afghan illegal entrants: secure detention, processing and removal where there is no lawful right to remain. No hotels. No unsupervised public access. No more public risk dumped into communities. A country that cannot protect little girls from organised rape has no moral authority to lecture anyone about compassion. The girls were not failed by accident. They were sacrificed. And until every perpetrator and every complicit official is exposed, shamed and prosecuted, Britain has not even begun to clean the stain. #GroomingGangs #JusticeForVictims #ProtectChildren #ProtectGirls #VictimsFirst #Labour #AndyBurnham #PublicInquiry #DeportForeignOffenders #Safeguarding #RuleOfLaw #Britain

Anyone still declaring themselves “Team Andy” needs to answer a very simple question: Where is your red line? If a politician failed to confront grooming gangs properly, failed victims, minimised the issue, avoided accountability or belonged to a party that repeatedly put reputation and political sensitivity above abused girls, then continued loyalty is not harmless. It means the victims are not your priority. We need to stop assessing politicians through party colours and start assessing them as people. Ask the basic questions: Would I trust this person with my children? Would I trust them to protect my family? Would I trust them to educate my daughter? Would I trust them with my money? Would I trust them to tell the truth when it costs them power? Then step back and look at the type of people modern politics attracts. Too many have never built anything, run anything, risked anything or lived like ordinary people. They move from student politics to party machinery to Parliament, collecting titles while becoming further detached from the country they claim to serve. They are not normal people. They are professional power-seekers. And people who spend their lives seeking power are often the very last people who should be trusted to wield it. Victims first. Children first. Country first. Not party. Not tribe. Not “Team Andy”. Not Labour. Not any politician whose record fails the test. #GroomingGangs #VictimsFirst #ProtectChildren #ProtectWomenAndGirls #AndyBurnham #Labour #PoliticalAccountability #PublicTrust #UKPolitics #Britain

🚨 HEARTBREAK IN OKLAHOMA 🚨 An illegal alien with past DACA status has been arrested after allegedly driving drunk the wrong way on I-40 in Canadian County, killing four young Americans in a horrific head-on crash. 🇺🇸💔 The victims were: 🕯️ Kiercey Hickson, 20 🕯️ Quincy Jones, 19 🕯️ Haliegh Salazar, 18 🕯️ Brad Palmer, 18 Friends, family, and the El Reno community gathered at a vigil near El Reno High School to mourn their loss. Authorities say 27-year-old Michael Rosario-Cruz, who previously held DACA status and a work permit, was allegedly drinking at a bar before driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-40, with empty beer bottles later found in his vehicle. He’s now facing: ⚖️ Four counts of 2nd-degree murder ⚖️ Two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury ⚖️ Open container & multiple firearm charges ⚖️ Driving the wrong way on a one-way road ICE has lodged a detainer, and officials say their goal is that he “never sees freedom here again in the United States.” Driving impaired is a reckless, life-destroying decision. This never should have happened — and it’s a brutal reminder of the real human cost of open-border and amnesty policies. 🛑🇺🇸 #Oklahoma #ElReno #I40 #DUI #IllegalImmigration #DACA #LawAndOrder #VictimsFirst

The justice system is broken when it puts criminals over victims. A he raped and murdered 5 year old Sahara Dwight in Oregon. He rightly got life without parole. Now, thanks to Oregon’s Bill 1008, he’s up for release on June 3. Her father is begging the public to stop it. This is wrong to release him. My own 6 month old niece was murdered. Her killer walks free today…living her full life, breathing air, while my niece only got 6 months on this earth because of her. Murder victims don’t get second chances. Why do their killers? Victims’ families do not get granted an early release on their sentence of lifelong pain and loss. But these monsters get “rehabilitation” and early release. This isn’t justice. This isn’t kindness either…not to the victim, not to the victims families and not the public this known murder and rapist will be released upon. No more prioritizing predators over innocent lives. #JusticeForSahara #VictimsFirst
An Oregon father whose 5-year-old daughter was raped and killed by Dustin Wallace has published a heartbreaking video asking for help to prevent the release of his child's killer. Tyler Dwight says Wallace, who received life in prison without parole, will likely be released after Democrats passed Bill 1008, which allows convicted inmates who committed crimes while under the age of 18 to have their sentences reduced. Wallace murdered Sahara Dwight in 2010 when he was 16. His release hearing is scheduled for June 3.

🚨 141 YEARS TO LIFE. 🚨 👦 Three child victims. 📸 Child pornography. ⚖️ A jury needed about ONE HOUR to convict this pervert. Meet Jeffrey Wright. Yet despite Wright’s life term, he’s eligible for release under the elderly parole law. Tomorrow the full parole board will review his case. ❓What about the children whose lives were forever changed? ❓What about public safety? ❓What about justice? ⛔ Some crimes are so horrific that early release should NEVER even be on the table. 🛑 Victims deserve better. California deserves better. #VictimsFirst #PublicSafety #NoEarlyRelease #ProtectChildren

Excellent - This is how it should be done. No "Green Agenda" money-funnels to "Beaver Protection" orgs in Arizona, no money shunted to Immigrant groups who never should have gotten one dime. ---------------------- "VictimsFirst President Dr. Zachary Blair said the Root Cellar’s decision (to give back their check) inspired additional donations." “The Root Cellar showed what it looks like when an organization puts victims first. They truly turned compassion into action,” Blair said. “That example inspired others to give, creating a vital lifeline for those whose lives were shattered on October 25, 2023.” "VictimsFirst said the entire amount, including accrued interest, was distributed through 33 separate disbursements to assist individuals facing ongoing financial hardship connected to the shootings." "According to VictimsFirst, the money was used to help cover food, rent, utility bills, car payments, childcare, transportation costs, dental bills, auto repairs, children’s mental health needs, and other expenses tied to the aftermath of the shooting."

Let me be direct: accountability isn't about being harsh for the sake of it. It's about what actually keeps people safe. When there are no real consequences, there is no deterrence. I've seen it firsthand - cases where offenders received diversion, probation, or lenient sentences only to reoffend. #JusticeMatters #VictimsFirst
