Guess it's an Alpina that looks big in a flock of Schinzii. Female Dunlin have longer beaks so female is a good shout.

No, different habitat equals different predators, to be honest all waders do best on managed land, often upland areas, this is an upland area but the gulls seem to be growing in numbers and quartering the ground for an easy meal.
