A few weeks ago I knew almost nothing about Solidity. Today I finished the Foundry basics section and built my first real smart contract projects. What I've learned so far: • Solidity fundamentals • Structs, arrays, mappings • Memory vs storage • Modifiers and custom errors • Libraries • Contract interactions • msg.sender and how it changes across contracts • Deploying contracts with Foundry • Writing unit tests • Using vm.prank, vm.deal and other cheatcodes • Working with mocks • Deployment scripts • Interaction scripts • Debugging traces and compiler errors • Git & GitHub basics • Basic frontend understanding and how a web app talks to a smart contract The biggest lesson wasn't Solidity. It was learning how to debug. I've spent hours staring at compiler errors, broken tests, wrong deployments, ownership issues, msg.sender confusion, missing deployment artifacts, Anvil resets, and things that made absolutely no sense at first. Most of the time the problem wasn't writing code. It was figuring out why the code wasn't working. I'm still a beginner, but I'm no longer at the stage where everything looks like magic.
