❄️ According to the
@NWSSanDiego, Big Bear Lake could receive snow beginning tomorrow, February 15th, becoming heavier on Presidents Day. If you're planning to be in Big Bear Lake in the next few days, be prepared for winter weather conditions.
🚜 Big Bear Lake Public Works staff and contract support crews will be on standby to plow City-maintained streets, in coordinated efforts with our partners at
@caltrans8, who are responsible for clearing Big Bear Boulevard and the state highways leading up to Big Bear. Snowplowing occurs on City-maintained streets when snow accumulation reaches 3 inches. Big Bear Lake Neighborhood Preservation Officers work in tandem with snow removal operations to clear City streets when snow conditions exist.
🚗 This weather may create hazardous driving conditions. We want to remind motorists to monitor road conditions frequently with the Caltrans QuickMap tool in the Big Bear Lake 365 app, exercise caution while driving in the mountains during inclement weather, carry appropriately sized tire chains or cables, and avoid parking on city streets when snow conditions exist - you could be fined or towed.
