Walk me through the real reasoning behind every function.” The difference was insane. Suddenly the AI started: reconstructing what I must have been thinking calling out hidden assumptions I’d forgotten pointing out edge cases I never documented even highlighting a couple bugs I didn’t know were there It felt like having a conversation with my past brain. What’s happening? This is actually a known technique: require evidence prompting. It forces the model to reveal why the code works, not just how.
