People can detect the dimorphism hiding from a mile away. At the end of the day, your dimorphism comes from your structure and angularity. Perceived age can only do so much

Hm. While the original looks fine, I'd have to say I prefer the update. Not because of 'balloon lips', but because the angularity of the new lips seems to fit everything else better.

there is less angularity in the midface now. it appears far more flat. possibly due to midface ratios appearing different now. did the nose bridge change as well?

it all depends on preferences. beauty is quite literally subjective whereas some women prefer men who have a youthful, less masculine, softer basically low dimo rather than men who are more masculine, more prominent bones, higher angularity, or any feature that raises their dimo

and how are you quantifying chase crawford doesnt have “good bones”, i don’t think his angularity is super great in the front, but he clearly looks like a grown man, and his side profile is fucking terachad which reflects on why he looks so insane on 3/4s, making him dimorphic

looks fine. stop comparing it to the best he's ever looked on camera. it doesn't accentuate his lower third angularity & fwd projection as much now.
maybe minor descend, less striking when his face is soft and puffy, but strong ascend if he actually gets lean and angular again.
