The court was even prepared to grant bail. However, in the interim, the junior lawyer representing Khan Sir appeared and requested a one-day adjournment…this move was made cunningly, given that the hearing was taking place on a Friday, followed by the weekend holidays. They sought to exploit this two-day gap to keep him in jail longer…we have an obligation to assist the court in the interest of justice and present the facts truthfully...”
On Khan Sir’s rival, Roshan Anand’s brother, being found dead in Nepal, he says, “It appears to be a nexus. If we examine the chain of events and the conspiracy from a jurisprudential standpoint, the entire country is aware of how this crime was orchestrated…a high-profile figure is involved. The fact that his body was discovered under suspicious circumstances after he had fled suggests a nexus...we look for ambiguities, absurdities, and anomalies in statutory interpretation. Based on our analysis, it certainly appears to be a conspiracy, with events unfolding in a connected chain. He is pursuing legal recourse against the person who filed a false case that led to his imprisonment and forced him to flee the state. We were actually preparing to file a bail application for him…”
