Visited @github #universe last week and there was tons of great stuff, one of the things I love is #codespaces so I got one working on the #axeCore repository today and #axeLinter just installs and runs inside #VSCode inside the browser @dequesystems @benjaminallen #a11y

It has been 7 years, 69 semantic versions, 155 contributors and 401,000,000 npmjs.com downloads since #axeCore was first released and I believe that the impact on #accessibility is only just beginning.

Not sure why #axecore is allowing placeholders as accessible names for inputs. That fails to work in VoiceOver on Safari macOS. Placeholder text is not spoken once there is a value. So that would be a #FalseNegative pass. #axecon #a11y #JustSayNoToPlaceholders! #AlwaysUseLabels!
ALT VoiceOver says "can only hear value" which is the value text and never speaks the placeholder once the value is entered
