The @scratch#MazeStarter program achieves the learning goals of sequencing as the point in direction block has to come before the move block for the game controller. The forever loop is an example of the programming construct of iteration so suitable for Year 7 too.

We did find unplugged activities including a @barefootcomputingβs AI lesson. Also pixel art and drawing our own AI controlled robots.

We have been thinking about what makes a good boat. We spoke about our experiences, compared similarities and differences of boats and predicted if materials would float or sink. We tinkered and created boats, checking if they would float! #stherbertscomputing#barefootcomputing
This afternoon, Year 1 had great fun learning about how to create and decompose a sequence/algorithm, as part of @BarefootComputing scheme, in order to learn how to decompose problems when creating computer programs.
Today, Year 1 wrote algorithms for a Beebot as part of the @Barefootcomputing scheme. First they decided where to start from and where they wanted their Beebot to finish at. They then wrote the algorithm before programming it in to check that they were correct. Great work Year 1.
KS1 have had a fantastic programming themed day, where they have thought about writing algorithms to control Beebots and lots of other activities. #barefootcomputing
Team Sycamore enjoyed some unplugged computer science today. We had a go at writing our own algorithms which our friends then had to follow in order to draw our crazy characters correctly. #LakeComputing#computerscience#barefootcomputing
This afternoon I have been at @thoakscp working with @theoakscpbeech continuing to develop their coding skills using @barefootcomputing CodeStudio & Blockly Games #PrimaryComputing@mglworldnews
