A big step on my journey to get away from plastic for me was to begin using beeswrap.
Use. Wash. Dry. Reuse.
When it finally wears out, into the compost.
It's useful even after its purpose is used up.
Cling wrap is a thing of the past.
And yes, I sell it.

Christmas stresses me out because I have a big extended family, and they’re not easy to buy for. I did mostly waste-reduction, “boring” practical gifts this year and it was actually a hit! Beeswrap to replace cling film, stasher bags to replace ziplocs, silicone straws, etc.

There's a great product called beeswrap that can take the place of cling wrap for leftovers, sandwiches, etc. I sell it on my website butnits sold on Amazon and other places too.

I like beeswrap and use it myself; it's costly compared to clingfilm but reusable, and people say that the beeswax helps prevent decay of food. As much as plastic creates other issues, beeswrap is a very old solution to an even older problem:
