🚨 Scam Alert: Repeat Attempt from “BlockLayer” Podcast Accounts
@nikitabier come on man why are you all not suspending these accounts?!?
I was contacted again yesterday by accounts associated with
@dikshaarden @BlockLayerPod. This is the second time they have approached me using the exact same tactic.
The message was highly personalized, referencing my work with VEXA, HumanAI, my creative process, collectors, and institutional partnerships. It looked polished and intentional. The problem is, I had already seen this exact playbook before.
Same language.
Same structure.
Same approach.
I recognized it immediately.
My response was simple:
“Oh hey, nice to meet you scammer. Good try — you’ve tried this before. Not going to happen. We all know what you’re doing, and yes, I’ve reported this to the authorities.”
This is not a one-off situation. It is part of a coordinated, ongoing scam.
Here is how it works:
They use older, high-follower accounts that appear legitimate at first glance. These profiles often include websites, podcast links, hiring posts, and other content to build credibility.
They send personalized outreach messages to creators using information pulled from public profiles.
If someone responds, they move the conversation to email or scheduling platforms, build trust, and then introduce malicious links or tools intended to compromise accounts and wallets.
This activity has been reported by multiple people in the community recently. It is not new, but it is persistent.
They target creators, artists, and builders who are open to opportunities and exposure.
What you should do:
Block and report any accounts associated with this activity.
Do not engage with unsolicited, highly polished invitations from accounts you do not have a real relationship with.
Be cautious of messages that feel overly tailored but come from cold outreach.
If you have already interacted with them, take immediate steps to secure your accounts, enable two-factor authentication, and review your wallets and devices.
This continues because it still works on people who have not seen the warnings.
Let’s change that.
If you have experienced something similar, share it. The more visibility we create, the harder it becomes for these operations to succeed.
