the mapping is absolutely correct, I could create a CSVW or RML mapping from that.

We also exploit (a bit of) the expressive power of SQL for preparing the data before mapping it. As far I can see, CSVW is not that expressive.

I would say to look at here w3.org/TR/tabular-metadata/ And yes CSV on the Web (CSVW) is used: for instance in RML to specify a logical source in CSV. Look at here rml.io/docs/rml/data-retriev⦠(section CSV).

Of course we can provide some documentation describing those. Ideally that should have strong semantics and be machine readable. Is the answer to use SQL DDL? Or CSVW (basically map the tables back to RDF)?

Congratulations to our Ambassador @ChristinaCSVW on hitting 1K followers on Twitch! π
CSVW originally streamed on Mixer and has been grinding to rebuild her community again on Twitch. Here at IP, we are so proud of how far CSVW has come and will go. The only way is up from here

data.world based their spreadsheet import on csvw, but it hasn't really been an asset. There hasn't been a lot of uptake of that recommendation, so doing this in a "standard" way hasn't really been helpful. I think this is too bad.
