Number 6. You must be able to iterate fast for game dev, it's a cycle, you tweak, test, tweak some more things, test again, and repeat. So it's important to setup GUI controls to tweak values on the fly, tools like datGUI, Leva, or Tweakpane are very good for this.

I think this could work well in combination with the kind of datgui param selection you were talking about: have model define params for whatever artifact y’all are working on, connect this to ui, quick model used for speculative gen at current param vals..

2) More of a general tip : I often find it worth taking the time to create “developer tools”. Could be as simple as tweaking values using #datgui, or creating a complicated curve visualizer. This has proven really useful when implementing hard-to-debug features like network sync

245 #100DaysOfCode I'm making basic threejs tuts series. It's tedious and I'm feeling impatient, gotta finish soon and make "cooler" things. I played with html input element to change color and position. Then reverted back to datGUI which is better suited anyway. I had to try😜

also has a plugin api, this is similar to datgui again

Last Leva plugin for the week, an interactive Bezier curve editor with live preview 🧑‍🍳 Bezier algorithm is taken from @greweb, UX is mostly ripped of Google Chrome dev tools so I didn't do much but plug this into Leva.

tweakpane was the main inspiration, we did have a react lib for it github.com/pmndrs/use-tweaks but it bumped into some problems and we started to want something more targeted to react. now leva is not just a datgui/tweak clone any longer, the context stuff is unique.
