Suryadev Devotee
In Kashi poor Brahmin
Suryadas chanted Surya Gayatri
every dawn in the Ganges, even
when a tyrant king banned sun
worship.
One night, Suryadev appeared
in the king’s dream on his seven-
horse chariot:
You blocked My light from
My devotee. Now I block yours.
The king woke blind. Terrified
he begged Suryadas.
The devotee prayed, and the
king’s sight returned instantly.
From then, the king became a
great protector of Surya worship.
True bhakti needs no temple
only pure faith at sunrise.
