Several members of the Media Lab community are co-organizers for this workshop, taking place at #UbiComp2025. The deadline for submissions is June 26, 2025. (Accepted demos/reports/papers are not required for attending the workshop.)
Once a stretchable circuit is laminated to fabric, every wrinkle, pull, and shear force becomes an electrical design consideration.
Voltera created a wearable pocket heater by printing Celanese's Intexar™ PE874, a stretchable silver conductive ink, on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
Once the ink cured, they laminated the TPU to a jean pocket. When connected to a power source, the ink heats up!
