🚢 NPM packages got y’all wild so here’s a PSA from real life: Had to pull data off a 386 with a dead floppy, so I rigged two Cisco rollover cables USB-serial to link it to a Win10 laptop. Windows 3.1 Terminal did the whole transfer using 61 KB of RAM. Windows 10 Terminal doing the same job used 67 MB. Same bytes. 61 KB vs 67,000 KB. 😅 So yeah… when your app feels like that cargo ship full of NPM packages— maybe remember the 386 that did it cleaner, leaner, and faster than your dependency chain. #firstworlddeveloperproblems #firstworldaiproblems
