Greetings, by "gridbased" you are referring to the turn based playstyle? Or the grid (hexagons) used to position the units?

I love everything about this. But if there's any way at all to include a non-gridbased playstyle, that would be nice too. The grid was the main thing I couldn't get into with classic Fallout.

Tried to do some gridbased PBD particles with WebGPU, similar to how Unreal's Neighborgrid3D works. Still a bit rough but fun to play around with. #WebGPU #ThreeJS

Erm, actually what makes games a rogue like is being like rogue, meaning being a gridbased turn-based rpg with permadeath, the only games like that would be adom, nethack, stone soup, perhaps even wayward, dwarf fortress adventure mode, and even games like cdda... . ☝️🤓
