I caught myself chasing dopamine again today. Two trades taken. The second one was a scalp right at the exact level where I had already hit my full profit target. My hands wanted more. My brain told me there is another setup. It was not. I just wanted the feeling again. Right after I closed that second trade, I locked myself out of the account for 15 minutes and shut every chart. That is the my golden rule at the moment. Two trades and I am done, no argument. I spent months figuring out why I overtrade. Highfunctioning autism means I get locked onto patterns the second price starts moving, and I struggle to even notice what I am feeling until the damage is already done. My whole body gets flooded with it before my brain catches up. Willpower was never going to fix that. I needed to make the next trade impossible to take. I feel like for me its most important to take the loss or the Win and just leave. Do you have a strict rule which is non negotiable and helps you stick to your behavior patterns?
