Jito is bringing a novel approach to restaking on the Solana network by creating the next generation of restaking infrastructure platform that would see them combine hybrid staking, restaking, and applying a VRT (vault receipt token) module. This is made possible by the platforms two main components: The Vault program and the Restaking program. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 1. The Vault Program deals with the creating and operating of Vault Receipt Tokens (restaked LSTs = VRTs); as such, it handles the minting, burning, and delegation of VRTs. It also provides support for many, if not all, tokens with the SPL token standard (which is a fresh take on restaking). It enforces flexible slashing mechanisms authorised by associated Node Consensus networks (NCNs) while allowing for customisable delegation across multiple Node operators and NCNs alike. These Vault Receipt Tokens (VRTs)  are synthetic tokens that represent a user's restaking position, providing an added layer of optionality and risk management. It is similar to LRTs. Jito (Re)staking infrastructure enables users to stake a variety of SPL tokens, including JitoSOL and other assets, further expanding the options available to crypto users. 2. The Restaking Program fosters the creation and management of NCNs while coordinating the relationships between NCNs, node operators, and vaults, implementing opt-in and opt-out mechanisms, and ensuring distribution or rewards of slashing penalties to NCNs, node operators, and vaults found wanting and deserving of penalties (punishment for bad behaviour). ◇ Node Consensus Networks (NCNs) are a set of nodes running software for the same network; they work together to achieve consensus. NCNs could include blockchains, cross-chain bridges, solver networks, Oracle networks, interoperatibility solutions, applications, and co-processor networks. These 2 components work in tandem to create flexible, scalable infrastructure for creating and managing staked assets, VRTs, and Node Consensus Operators (NCN) streamlining the development process for projects, making it a one stop solution for innovation in staking, restaking and VRT products. Jito's restaking is both a staking and restaking infrastructure that allows users to create staking and slashing structures using any asset of their choice making it a liquid restaking infrastructure more similar to @ether_fi than the restaking platform @solayer_labs .
