Did you know our Whole Brain Training Summer Program may be HSA/FSA eligible? 💰 That means you may be able to pay with pre-tax dollars — which could effectively reduce the cost by 25–35% depending on your tax bracket. A $3,000 program could feel like $1,950–$2,250 out of pocket for many families. Ask us about this when you book your free consultation — we're happy to help you figure out if this applies to your account. Link in bio to book. 🧠 *HSA/FSA eligibility varies. Dyslexia and written directions have a complicated relationship. ormal directions: ➡️ Turn left. ➡️ Go two blocks. ➡️ Destination on the right. My dyslexic brain: 🤔 Was that left or right? 🤔 Which two blocks? 🤔 Why are there so many roads? 🤔 How did I end up in another zip code? Growing up, I thought struggling with reading meant I wasn't smart. I was wrong. Dyslexia didn't stop me from becoming a scientist, earning a PhD, building companies, publishing research, or leading thousands of students. It just meant I had to find a different route. Sometimes the people who struggle most with directions end up discovering paths nobody else sees. Keep going. Your destination may be bigger than you imagine. #WiredDifferently #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #DifferentNotLess #DyslexicScientist #DyslexiaAwareness #LearningDifferences #Neurodivergent #SuccessStory #ADHD #Education #Inspiration

3 questions parents always ask us about neurofeedback 👇 1️⃣ "Is it safe?" Yes. Neurofeedback is non-invasive — no electricity enters the brain. Sensors read brainwave activity and provide feedback. The most common side effect is temporary mental tiredness after sessions, similar to intense studying. 2️⃣ "How long does it take to see results?" Every brain is different. Research suggests most people benefit from 20–40 sessions for full, lasting results. Our summer program is 10 sessions — a meaningful starting point. Many families begin noticing early shifts in focus, sleep, and emotional regulation within the first sessions. 3️⃣ "Why start in summer?" Summer is one of the best windows for this work. Your child's brain isn't under daily school pressure, which research suggests may support faster adaptation. Questions? DM us or book a free consult — link in bio. 🧠 #Neurofeedback #WholeBrainTraining #ADHDKids #NeurodivergentKids #BrainTraining #DyslexiaSupport #ChildAnxiety #LearningDifferences #ParentingADHD #NaturalADHD #SummerLearning

I want to recognize someone whose story continues to inspire millions around the world @jakegyllenhaal . Despite growing up with dyslexia, Jake never allowed learning challenges to define his future. Through perseverance, discipline, and passion, he built one of the most respected careers in entertainment. From Brokeback Mountain and Nightcrawler to Southpaw and Prisoners, his work has shown the world that learning differences do not limit greatness. What makes his journey even more meaningful is his openness about overcoming dyslexia and supporting children facing educational challenges. For so many young people struggling in school, hearing successful individuals speak openly about learning disabilities helps remove stigma and gives hope to those who may feel discouraged. As a board member of @promiseproject , I have the privilege of seeing firsthand how mentorship, support, and access to resources can change the lives of children with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. Every child deserves the opportunity to realize their full potential. Jake’s story is proof that setbacks can become strengths. His accomplishments, humility, and advocacy continue to inspire children everywhere to believe in themselves and never give up. Thank you, Jake, for your friendship, kindness, and continued support for children and families navigating learning challenges. Your voice truly makes a difference. To every child facing educational struggles: your challenges do not define your future. Keep believing in yourself. #DyslexiaAwareness #JakeGyllenhaal #PromiseProject #learningdifferences Be

“All of a sudden, you’re not doing so well in school and then people will tell you, oh, you’re not trying, you’re not smart or whatever, and none of that’s accurate. You just have this difference in that bridge from language to print,” said #JohnGabrieli, a neuroscientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (@MIT).” @mcgovernmit #LearningDifferences #DifferentNotDisabled #Dyslexia

Access to justice is a RIGHT, not a privilege. Every person deserves the opportunity to participate meaningfully in court proceedings, including those whose disabilities aren't always visible. If you experience anxiety, learning differences, communication challenges, or cognitive conditions, you deserve support. You deserve accommodation. You deserve to be heard. The law recognizes this. Section 4 of the Equal Status Act (2000) guarantees reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities. Courts exist to serve EVERYONE. Your barriers are valid. Your voice matters. Your access to justice is non-negotiable. 🏛️ Know your rights. Speak up. Demand accommodation. #AccessToJustice #DisabilityRights #EqualStatus #Courts #MentalHealth #LearningDifferences

𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂, “𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁… 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁”? It’s a conversation many parents hear at some point during their child’s school journey. While some students feel confident in subjects like Mathematics or Sciences, others may find their strengths in areas such as English, Art, or Geography. The reality is that every student learns differently. What feels challenging for one child may feel natural for another. These differences simply reflect each student’s unique abilities, interests, and learning style. Sometimes, the subjects students struggle with the most can later lead to exciting career paths in fields like engineering, medicine, technology, or research. At the same time, the subjects they enjoy the most can open doors to opportunities in media, communication, design, and other creative industries. What truly makes a difference is the right support, encouragement, and learning environment. When students feel supported, even the subjects they once found difficult can become opportunities to grow and build confidence. At Altecs, we work closely with families to help students find schools where their strengths are nurtured and their potential is encouraged. Because every child has their own path to success and sometimes, the right environment makes all the difference. Has your child ever struggled with a particular subject? What helped them overcome it? . . . #studentlife #schooljourney #learningdifferences

🧠✨ Bright kids don’t always “keep up” — and it’s not about laziness. gpsparentseries.org/events/e… Join GPS on Thursday, Feb. 19 (Noon & 7 p.m. CT via Zoom) for an important conversation with Dr. Ellen Braaten on strategies that improve academic performance and processing for both typical and neurodiverse learners. Many students — including those with ADHD, learning differences, or slower processing speed — are misunderstood as unmotivated. Dr. Braaten will unpack the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact learning and motivation, and share targeted supports that reduce frustration, build confidence, and ignite engaged learning for kids ages 5–18. 👩‍🏫 Perfect for parents, caregivers, educators, and anyone who works with children and teens. 💙 Free event. No registration required. Let’s create environments where every child — regardless of how their brain processes information — can thrive. #GPSParentSeries #NeurodiverseKids #ADHD #LearningDifferences #ParentEducation #EducatorSupport #Neurodiversity #AutismSupport #TeacherLife #DownSyndromeCommunity #DevelopmentalDelays #InclusiveEducation #ProcessingSpeed #ExecutiveFunction #GiftedStudents #GiftedEducation #TwiceExceptional #SpecialNeedsParenting
