2000 stars on an admin template is solid, berry is one of the cleanest mui templates out there

It’s not just AI tooling that has advanced so much. I remember when setting up React with different libraries could easily take a full day. CRA, Redux Toolkit, routing, UI libraries (antd, materialUI,...), config issues, and then more libraries on top of that. Now it’s mostly just: “Vite shadcn” or “Next.js shadcn” and you’re already building. The speed difference is crazy.

MaterialUI never was visually appealing

The MUI team began with @MaterialUI; today, its products extend well beyond Material Design. You can find @base_ui with great unstyled components, or advanced components like Data Grid, Charts, Scheduler, Date Pickers, Tree Views.

I bet the design was done just by developers by using MaterialUI - google's design system there are plenty positions of developers with UX skills

Google needs to dump the flat boring design choices. It’s 2026 and people have moved on from flat surfaces. I wouldn’t even touch the Gemini App on my iPhone because there’s no life to it, it’s still fighting native components with MaterialUI

I actually added Hero UI and React Aria yesterday. It's just that tanstack .com has a bug where new docs don't show up for 24 hours after committing to github right now so I didn't announce it yet

You can use them together! TanStack table is great for managing the data and handling logic like sorting and filtering. You can use that to render a RAC Table (instead of a plain HTML table), and get keyboard navigation and other accessibility features.

yeah, I have heard that react-aria is making a comeback, especially with this stuff. We could look to make a react-aria example, but it also seems like they want to be an alternative to TanStack Table (and Virtual). I've never used so IDK, but open.
