Took one buspar and the side effects were horrendous never ever again. Did a generic study from Amazon and discovered I am mtfhr and slow comt. Used ai to study and deep dive the mechanisms of that and its cascades. Hacked it with simple methylfolate and amino acids. Improved

Solid timing guide. Here is how these typically capsule for a DIY stack: Magnesium 300-400mg: size 0 or 1 HPMC Vitamin D3: size 3 or 4 HPMC, fat-soluble so always with your fattiest meal Vitamin C 500-1000mg: size 0 HPMC Iron 18-65mg: size 3 or 4 HPMC B Vitamins: size 3 or 4, use methylated forms (methylcobalamin, methylfolate) for better absorption

TMG and molybdenum resolved the issue for me, as far as excess sulfur. I can eat a steak, or bacon. I might be able to add one egg to that. If I try two or three eggs and then add a steak to it, I’m in trouble. I don’t feel well for a while. Those two supplements helped my body clear it. I also take Jarrow chewable methylcobalamin and methylfolate with P5P. It’s the only thing that has kept me from being anemic over the years. Doctors wanted to give me ferrous sulfate and I can’t digest the stuff. It just made me ill.

@BulkSupps I have a couple product requests. So Im a very high functioning Aspie with MTHFR Mutation and thus I take a stack of AlphaGPC, TNG (Betain Anhydrous) and then a Methylated folate/b12 supplement. My primary issue is the filler products used. With the AlphaGPC the filler is always calcium silicate or something of the like that is literally nonsoluble sand. Im not filling capsules Im adding this to beverages and thats not satisfactory. So I always end up predissolving it then pouring the solute away from the silicates after they fall out. This is a tedious and laborious process I frankly dread. Instead it would make sense to simply pair the alphaGPC with the TNG as the filler. The lightweigh crystaline nature of the TNG seems well suited as a highly soluble filler material to prevent the alpha gpc from coagulating, right? Secondly, the methylated b12/methylfolate combo supplement I take uses calcium as the filler material, which is counter intuitive because it is highly competitive with other high value supplements in my overall stack (zinc and a gambut of magnesium compounds), so producing this as a raw powder with any soluble mineral besides calcium seems beneficial. Magnesium glycinate comes to mind its not cost prohibitive and the glycine should help smooth the edges of the heavy methylation, right? Looking forward to a response. Perhaps market these towards people of my specific proclivity? I would gladly test these new products and or accept a supply in gratuity for my suggestions should they take off after introduction Thanks for hearing me out! 🫶

Top natural therapies from Difficult to Treat Depression book: ▪ Lightbox ▪ Methylfolate ▪ Omega-3 ▪ Probiotics ▪ Vitamin D (when levels low) It's at amzn.to/4oqfv43 But in next edition, I'd include acetyl-l-carnitine. Here's why: psych-partners.com/a-supplem…

There’s some evidence to support L-methylfolate supplementation. Like 7-15mg daily

Lamo update: Alternating between foggy and hyper. Going back on L-methylfolate appears to be beginning to balance things out though. 🤞🏻

MTHFR is not a methylfolate deficiency. It's a capacity problem. And capacity has more than one solution.

Yes, he’s been on D3 & methylfolate for a long time bc of MTHR variances, one of which lowers his D levels no matter how much sun he gets.. Also high dose vitamin C (is natural anti-inflammatory) and lion’s mane. He actually just had a full panel of bloodwork done - beyond CBC and it shows he is low on iron, so added that to the cocktail he’s been taking. It makes sense that would be low since he had so many broken bones Jan 2025, then had full shoulder reconstruction done at end of July 2025.. and he had another surgery a month ago (to remove a tumor.. benign, thank God!) He does not need taurine. And unless his thyroid bloodwork shows otherwise, I hesitate to put him on iodine and selenium (which I do take.)

Good combination. For anyone encapsulating this stack: Fat-solubles (D and E) absorb best from a softgel with an oil base. B vitamins (B3, B9, B12) are water-soluble and fit well in size 3 or 4 HPMC caps. Use methylfolate over folic acid for B9 and methylcobalamin for B12. Vitamin C at 500-1000mg goes in a size 0. Magnesium at 300-400mg fits a size 0 or 1. Zinc at 25-50mg works in a size 3.

How effective do you find L-methylfolate/5-MTHF supplementation for those homozygous "bad" for MTHFR gene? It's an expensive supplement.

Yay I’m so glad to hear that!! I tried folic acid and found that I couldn’t process it, probs mthfr. I have to take methylfolate. B12 injections have actually weirdly never given me insomnia! I can fall asleep right after it. I’m still on a break to work on my potassium

Oh man that's me with L-methylfolate. Stupid genetic mutation left me unable to process folic acid and that stuff does what B vitamins are MEANT to do for me! I'm so thankful for that genetic testing 🙏
