I’ve had several people ask me how I’m doing now after surgery to remove half of my thyroid gland and the cancerous tumors growing on it, so here’s a little update. 🤍
I’m recovering very well, thank goodness. Although talking, swallowing, and moving my head and neck have been difficult at times, I’ve been lucky enough to experience very minimal pain. The few times I did have pain, the prescribed opioids quickly resolved it. Clearly, I haven’t been letting this slow me down too much (although I probably should be taking things a little easier than I have been), considering the amount of chasing I’ve done this past week… with likely more to come next week.
I want to thank everyone who has checked in on me and sent words of encouragement. It truly has meant the world to me. I also want to specifically thank
@TylersWXcorner and
@JordanS_WX for letting me tag along with them as they drove during chases this week, as I was unable to drive. I’m so lucky to be a part of this unique community of truly wonderful people who always have each other’s backs.
Oh, and two more very important things before I go: (1) Fuck cancer, and (2) never stop chasing! 🌪️
