🦋You’ll never change your life until you change your choices Very productive day today in our garden all pots are now filled with the right soil mix delivered from @quickcrop I can plant the herbs now end of March beginning of April. The most important part of growing your own vegetables and plants is the topsoil in your garden. Soil is like the beating heart of your garden, @quickcrop take a lot of nutrients from the soil when they harvest their vegetables and this needs to be given back for the next seasons crop to thrive. Topsoil is alive with micro-organisms and animal/insect life which all add their own little elements and makes the ideal environment for plants and vegetables to thrive. Add compost or manure as food and you have the perfect combination and cannot fail to produce strong vegetables and plants. I source all my soil and seeds and plants from them they are fantastic. This week I’m excited to embark on another addition to my greenhouse I’m going to start growing my own microgreens inspired by the lovely @officialmicrogreenqueen I got some recently and I just cannot stop eating them they are so tasty plus microgreens are a great natural source of vitamin A, E, C and K, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, selenium and zinc. Always best to get your vitamins and minerals naturally from your food instead of popping pills that can harm your digestive suggestive system 💪🦋

As beds become empty at this time of year you can: 🌱 Plant with a new autumn/overwintering crop or ☘️ Sow green manures or ♻️ Add a layer of garden compost, and/or ☂️ Mypex sheeting in high rainfall areas. #SoilHealth #Quickcrop #QuickcropTips #GreenManures #CoverCrops

📍A tour of my lovely @ksbgreenhouse by a chipmunk 😂😂 My tour went on too long so limited with space on instagram so I just fast forwarded the video and now I sound like chipmunk 🐿️ I think you get the picture I love the greenhouse 😂😂 @ksbgreenhouse and it’s so rewarding not once this summer have we had to buy any vegetable or herb. We have our own it’s like printing your own money and it’s so easy to get started and all the family will enjoy it. I sourced all my baby plants from @quickcrop they are also based in the UK @quickcropuk so they can get your plants out to you easily - they will not be beaten on the quality of their baby plants just look at my jungle and you saw me planting all those live back in April they were tiny 🚀🏋️‍♀️

My friends @quickcrop have an excellent newsletter on DEEP WATERING and MULCHING. These are essentials I used to bang ON and ON about in my decades as a garden columnist. Have a read! mailchi.mp/quickcrop/c9m406t…

📍My pride and joy… Vegetables tastes way better when you grow your own 100% the taste is out of this world. I have my hubby eating more vegetables now then he did in his entire life because of the taste. It’s sensational - if you don’t have the facilities to grow your own don’t worry just try to chose farm fresh and organic wherever you can and most importantly buy local fresh fruit and vegetables that are in season. Try to stop buying imports they are all sprayed with God knows what to preserve them to prolong their shelf life before they reach us. Be label smart read where your produce is from and chose made in Ireland where ever you can and that goes for all other Nationalities reading this chose local brown foods not imports! Your gut will thank you. I invested in a new garden hose today one that’s wall mounted and doesn’t kink, it’s ideal to help me keep all my plants hydrated in this hot weather. Nothing added but love, water and vegetable peels to my soil and of course good quality soil helps to ensure all the plants flourish. I got all my soil delivered right to the front door from @quickcrop just look how well all my lovely produce is growing in my fabulous @ksbgreenhouse Astra raised beds and greenhouse 💪🚀🥕👩‍🌾 Time for a BBQ now with all that lovely fresh organic salad from my greenhouse and BBQd fresh fish 🐟 💪with new season spuds from the garden with freshly chopped garden garlic chives, spring onion and a small bit of @kerrygoldirl real Irish butter 🏋️‍♀️
