We should not blame the victim. It is not her fault because she trusted her life with these people, BUT I need to ask the question… When doing something this risky and deadly, wouldn’t it be your top priority to visually see that you have a lifeline and actually be certain that you are secure? I would never do this, but if I did I would triple and quadruple check my line was okay. I would ask a million times if my line was attached, my harness was tight, etc etc etc. This poor lady had zero awareness.
