Since 2017, Scotland have played Ireland eleven times and lost them all. Average scoreline Ireland 26-12 Scotland. Two of the grimmest defeats came at RWC19 and RWC23.
The Groundhog Day nature of so many of these games is a huge stain on Gregor Townsend's record.

RWC19 I mixed with Saffas, Kiwis, Scots, Irish, English, Americans, Canadians (and of course a lot of Japanese.)
Nothing bad. Pure fun and respect and banter.
Yokohama was particularly wild 🍻🤪

We're not ABs of old. If you were Boks of old you'd have lost. Boks are far ahead in their team development. However all hope is not lost. ABs won 36 of 42 tests from 2016 to 2018. Boks won 18 of 39. Beaten by Italy! Also by Ireland (35 points); NZ by 57 & 42. Won RWC19.

It’s more the point the Bok fans cry ref every loss. Quite often these days NZ fans can be quite magnanimous in defeat. The Irish & Lions series come to mind. England hammering us in the semi final of RWC19. That just never happens in Bokland.

His football antics on the Lions tour in 2021 and piss poor behaviour post 2019 RWC19 final loss refer. Always been a dick, poor loser just has the 🎤 now. Plastic energy person but up there as a player.

RWC19 in Japan was amazing. So well organised and easy to get sround. Especially compared to the shit show that was RWC23 France.
Still I wouldn't mind visiting Spain again

Rassie said that out of all the players, Cheslin is absolutely irreplaceable & now the world is reminded why. His try was a mirror of his RWC19 where he stepped through Farrel. You can see his impact in every part. Always in the thick of it. Always talking. Always in the fight.

Powerful, quick, several options each time, NZ having to chase from the off.
Reminded me a little of the start of the RWC19 semi-final, which is THE blueprint for England imo.

Can SAns focus on how well India played (Bumrah = formidable) to get a win instead of hating on Proteas? We call out English for being bad sports eg when took off RWC19 silver🏅yet SAns supporters are now angry. Stop it. Disappointment is okay/anger: not so much T20WorldCupFinal
