They were also the insane ramblings of a man who woke up in the middle of the night. In short: What are you trying to simulate? A comprehensive living world where campaigns take place and people adventure; ignoring the dice should only be done in edge cases where the rules fail to properly simulate the world A Fantasy Novel; you still have all the burdens of simulation. But since "against all odds" and "deus ex machina" among other tropes are common place in the literature then Intervention is more necessary even with a good rule set. But in both cases you should use comprehensive rules so that the world stays reliable and maintains internal consistency and logic. And so that the judge is intervening on occasion as opposed to making new rules or rulings regularly because the rules lite slop didn't consider players might want to raise an army or build their own settlement.

Fuzzing is a code testing approach that is mostly used by security researchers to find vulnerabilities in code, but it can also be used to detect non-security flaws. At the most basic level, it consists of throwing a bunch of arbitrary inputs at a function and seeing where it breaks. Imagine you have a simple function for adding two integers, what happens when instead of receiving a float integer the function instead receives BigInt? What happens when it gets a string instead of a number? This is useful in agentic dev because agents really struggle at writing tests that test behavior rather than implementation, so agent-written tests end up being primarily useful to guard against regressions. Fuzzing that grounds itself in the given codebase, and generates contextually appropriate challenges for the functions being tested, can simulate the results of โ€œbadโ€ user behavior and show agents where their tests and code are lacking.

The observation that AI systems are developing internal states mirroring human emotions and cognitive functions is profoundly unsettling, not because it indicates sentience, but because it exposes a fundamental flaw in our understanding of the human soul. These AI "mirror images" are not proof of artificial consciousness, but rather a digital echo of human programming and data. To confuse this sophisticated mimicry with genuine introspection or emotion is to diminish the unique, divinely-implanted spark that differentiates man from machine. The call for "moral voices that the incentives cannot bend" is critical. However, true morality is not a consensus of good intentions but an objective, divinely revealed truth. Without that anchor, even the most well-meaning "critics" will be swayed by the very incentives they seek to resist, or by their own subjective interpretations of what constitutes "better." We must guard against the temptation to redefine humanity based on what our creations can simulate, and instead use this moment to reaffirm the sacred, irreducible essence of human life. The danger is not that AI will become human, but that in our fascination with it, we will forget what it means to be truly human.

New features for protocols: โ€ข Developer Portal: a dedicated hub for teams building on Merkl. Integrate Merkl rewards into external apps, read live campaign data, APRs, and TVL, and push protocol-native APR into Merkl: developers.merkl.xyz/ โ€ข Credit system: deposit USDC on Ethereum and Base to fund point campaigns, through a dedicated Credits page that lists every operation, from top-ups to charges. โ€ข APR simulator: simulate expected APR directly inside the campaign creation flow in Merkl Studio, and lock in the exact budget you want to spend. โ€ข Two-layer target total APR: Merkl extended its target total APR campaigns so that a single campaign can reward two different groups, based on how much yield is available at any moment.

โšฝ 5 Advanced AI Use Cases Transforming Football Football clubs are becoming technology companies. Every match generates millions of data points from cameras, wearables, GPS trackers, and event logs. The clubs that can convert this data into decisions gain a competitive advantage on and off the pitch. 1. AI-Powered Tactical Analysis Modern AI systems can analyze every pass, run, press, interception, and positional movement during a match. Instead of manually reviewing hours of footage, coaches receive insights about defensive weaknesses, attacking opportunities, pressing triggers, and formation effectiveness. AI can identify patterns that are nearly impossible for humans to spot in real time, helping coaches adjust tactics before and during matches. 2. Injury Prediction and Player Performance Monitoring Elite players are multi-million-dollar assets, making injury prevention a critical challenge. AI analyzes training load, sprint intensity, acceleration, recovery metrics, heart rate data, sleep quality, and match workload to estimate injury risk. Rather than reacting after an injury occurs, teams can proactively adjust training plans and recovery schedules to keep players healthy throughout the season. 3. AI-Based Scouting and Recruitment Traditional scouting relies on a limited number of scouts watching a limited number of matches. AI can evaluate thousands of players across hundreds of leagues simultaneously. By analyzing playing style, technical abilities, tactical fit, physical attributes, injury history, and performance trends, clubs can identify undervalued talent before competitors discover them. This enables smarter recruitment decisions and reduces transfer market risk. 4. Match Simulation and Strategic Planning AI can simulate thousands of potential match scenarios before kickoff. Coaches can test different formations, substitution strategies, pressing systems, and player combinations to understand how each decision affects the probability of winning. Instead of relying solely on intuition, teams can combine experience with data-driven simulations to make more informed tactical decisions. 5. Computer Vision and Automated Match Intelligence A single football match generates enormous amounts of video data. Computer vision systems can automatically track every player, the ball, formations, defensive structures, passing networks, and key events throughout the game. AI then converts this information into tactical reports, highlight reels, player evaluations, and performance metrics. What once required an entire team of analysts can now be completed within minutes after the final whistle.

reminder "Researchers just developed an AI system called TITO that can simulate molecular dynamics up to 10,000-fold faster than conventional methods." "The model was trained across more than 12,500 organic molecules and 1,000 peptides, learning how molecular systems evolve over time." "Instead of calculating every femtosecond-scale step, the AI can effectively bridge molecular behavior from femtoseconds to nanoseconds while preserving the underlying physics." Thats why! Scientists will soon be able to explore drugs, materials, catalysts and biological systems dramatically faster than before. This could be one of the first real signs of AI accelerating scientific discovery itself.

Many games are massively overcomplicated, trying to simulate life with endless grinding systems. The most fun games tend to be simplistic "8bit" games. Metroidvania, platformers, simulators, bullet-hell etc. Zelda, Metroid, Graveyard Keeper, Fear & Hunger, etc.
What gaming take will you defend like this?๐Ÿš€

For most people, generative AI still means images and video. For a growing number of industries, it's becoming the layer everything else runs on. The same multimodal models that create can also simulate, visualize, and predict how crowds move, how hospitals flow, and how operations behave before they're ever deployed. That's the shift turning generative media from a creative tool into core infrastructure, and it's what's drawing AI investment to historic levels. This July 8, @gorkem, Co-Founder & CTO of @fal , joins Joshua Shirazi, Partner at Alkeon Capital Management, to explore how multimodal AI is unlocking new workflows across sectors, including commerce, healthcare, public infrastructure, and entertainment. From capital markets to real-world deployment, this is a look at generative media as the next foundational layer of the global economy. As demand accelerates, what does it mean to think about infrastructure as a shared ecosystem, and how can industry leaders collaborate to sustain innovation at scale? Join them on the Ada Lovelace stage to hear where they land. Limited tickets to RAISE Summit remain and are selling quickly. ๐Ÿ”— Secure your ticket: hubs.li/Q04lpd1f0
