#sqlhelp My IT Security team has flagged ALL SQL servers as having a "SQL 2012 Component". This appears to be due to SQL Native Client 11 being installed. They flagged since SQL2012 will be unsupported soon, even on fresh SQL2019. Thoughts on how to (of if we should) remediate?

Anyone use the #MSDynGP migration tool since the v18 #MSDyn365BC update? Trying to find out if the compatibility level was updated in that version. Just on March 8th, I was able to migrate over using compatibility 110 on SQL2012 and GP2016. Open support case with #Microsoft.

I just tried all my demos and everything is green. Ready to roll. At 11:45am today, come see me Move databases to the cloud in W320 (Chapin theater). We'll use Azure DMS to move Mongo to Cosmos and SQL2012 to Azure SQL. Can't wait to see you all! #MSIgnite

@SQLChicken was right.
Dear Lawd.
I downloaded and installed #SQL2012 Express edition. Now I can upgrade small SQL2005 dbs to '12 first, then climb out and up to SQL2017.
So on my new laptop, I now have: '12 Express, '14 Dev, '16 Dev, and '17 Dev.
Shall I go for '19? :)

HorseBatteryStaple$42%t is not a strong enough sa password with SQL2012/Win16. Horse-Battery-Staple42 is fine.
