Finished the team absolute 2 electric boogaloo story. Yes I said 2 given they did have a event story in their original forms before their upgrades. I'll be honest team absolute especially in Eunhwa's case really didn't offer much other than we have to be constantly told they are the elite squad. Although it does make me ask how much pull does Ingrid actually have since unlike syuen or mustang, Ingrid and all of the Elysion NIKKE are tied to all the government black ops. Yeah I know missilis has its secrets but the set up seems more like those are the kinds of secrets either syuen is unaware of and she's just the doll the true owners manipulate or she's too prideful and arrogant to realize she's just an expendable ceo especially if her stockholders feel Jien can replace her at any point. Anyway back on topic, outside their original event and certain main story chapters we never really go that deep into absolute, in fact Emma and Vesti by comparison to Eunhwa have had more screen time in other random events due to probably a easier reception compared to Eunhwa who serves as the hardened soldier similar to Rapi. And aside from intentional or unintentional Yuri vibes between rapi and eunhwa given eunhwa came off more as the angry ex girlfriend lol there really wasn't too much we could say about team absolute in terms of character or what they wanted to achieve or even what they're main theme and dynamic is and this story seemed intended on rectifying that. I say this because when you look at how Matis started off and ultimately got better reception after Lapalce big moment of finding her resolve of wanting to be a hero, yes Hero not Savior like many of you eng dub only twats spout. When the Japanese and even Korean dubs say hero, you know the eng dub localizers fucked up. But yeah I think the main goal this time around was shift up taking an opportunity to expand on team absolute which seems to be the main thing happening for nikke this year. Cause yeah while nikke for it's first 2 years certainly blew up in popularity it wasn't without a couple of bumps on the road and not every nikke was met with positive reception from a gameplay or character writing perspective. For this story I think they did a good job diving deeper into Emma, vesti, and especially Eunhwa who needed it the most. And so far this year shift up has been killing it with the stories and character developments even if many of them aren't getting it in the main story content and it's gonna make deciding which stories were the best ones this year difficult and we haven't even hit 3rd anniversary yet.
