💥 What a week at CATCH! 💥 Our youth sessions have been buzzing with energy – packed with fun, friendships, and activities that bring people together 💛 From sports to creative sessions, our spaces have been alive with the spirit of community. 🎉 We also had a very special reason to celebrate… our incredible volunteer Finance Manager David turned 70! 🥳 David is the numbers wizard behind the scenes – the one keeping us ticking with spreadsheets, budgets, and all the important stuff no one sees but everyone depends on. He’s been with us through thick and thin, always calm, always kind, and always ready with a smile. We are so grateful for everything he does – happy birthday, David! 🧁🎂 ❤️ And with some joy comes a little sadness too, as we say goodbye (for now!) to two of our amazing young volunteers, Anum and Eshal. These two have brought so much heart, laughter, and care to CATCH. Whether helping on the farm, supporting youth sessions, or just being brilliant role models – they’ve truly been part of the CATCH family. We are bursting with pride! Rafael, our incredible Business Administration Apprentice, has just been crowned Advanced Apprentice of the Year at the West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards! From arriving in the UK at a young age, learning a new language, and adapting to a new culture, to finishing school and becoming our first-ever apprentice, Rafael’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. Over the years, he’s volunteered more than 1,000 hours with CATCH - growing in confidence, resilience, and leadership. From managing finance, supporting with bookings, youth activities, community events, and the farm, to handling the everyday hustle behind the scenes - Rafael does it all with heart, humility, and a relentless drive to grow. This award is not just a recognition of his talent and hard work, but a celebration of the character, skills, and values he’s developed along the way. He’s proof that when young people are given the right environment, belief, and opportunity - they thrive. A huge thank you to Leeds City College for being part of his journey, and especially to his amazing tutor Jess, whose care and commitment helped Rafael shine even brighter.
