Help Me Rebuild After a Hack.
Iām a 5 year Salesforce developer, and Iām humbly requesting one fair opportunity to restart my certification journey.
Please take 2 minutes to read my full story below. š
I have been a Salesforce developer for 5 years, mentoring others and earning certifications with pride.
But in May 2024, my Webassessor account was hacked, my credentials changed, and I was blackmailed for money to regain access to my own account.
I reported everything immediately with evidence (Case #01181320-TH)āincluding screenshots of the blackmail and verified government-issued IDs. My intent was to inform Salesforce about a loophole in Webassessor that allowed someone to change a password without notifying the original user.
Due to the long SLA for security incidents, I finally received a response in August 2024āover 60 days later, which I completely understand. But to my shock, instead of acknowledging the hack, my certifications were revoked, and I was permanently suspended.
believing in the system, I raised follow-up cases (Case #01248105-TH, Sept 2024) and waited again. After no response for months, I created a new Webassessor account and retook two certifications from certified test centers, fully complying with policies.
Then, in February 2025, I finally got a reply to my previous casesāSalesforce upheld the revocation and also deleted my new account, citing multiple accounts as a violation.
In good faith, I raised another appeal (Case #469794211, Feb 2025) asking only for guidance or a chance to continueānot for past certifications to be restored. But again, I received a response suggesting external legal options.āleaving me with no way forward.
I completely respect Salesforceās commitment to securityāno company would compromise on it. Yet, I have not engaged in fraud; I am a victim of fraud.
In Feb 2025, I raised another Trail head case #469794211 seeking justice or at least guidance to continue my further certifications. But after 30 days, I received a response stating that Salesforce upheld their decision and suggested pursuing external legal options if I wished to challenge it.
From the beginning, I have never challenged Salesforceās decisionāI have only asked for help.
I am not asking for past certifications to be reinstatedāonly for a fair opportunity to restart:
Retake all exams from scratch.
Use only certified testing centers.
Undergo strict identity verification.
Comply with all Salesforce policies.
I have spent an entire year fighting this, losing money retaking certifications, and, more importantly, valuable time under immense stress. The only response I received was to seek legal actionābut I am not ready to fight against the technology that has supported me for five years. I have always respected Salesforceās decisions.
If there is no way forward, I may have no choice but to leave the Salesforce ecosystem, despite my five years of dedication.
If you can help or guide me in any way, Iāll be deeply thankful. And even if you canāt, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this.
Iāve exhausted every option I could find. This is my last hope to stay in the Salesforce ecosystem and rebuild the career Iāve worked so hard for.
I hope future victims of cyber attacks receive the empathy and opportunity that I did not.
