While the updates look damning, after speaking with him for 7 years I refuse to believe it was all for nothing. Red flags & missed deadlines aside, #ctag published exact figures. We don't need to hope for a deal, it was stated as done Where is the cash? #UniOfHaifa #Technion

Technion @Stanford just made scintillator design differentiable. SPINN swaps non-differentiable Monte Carlo for a neural-net surrogate. Result: **2.8x** brighter X-ray detectors via gradient-based inverse design. The twist: the simple model beat the fancy one. 🧵

That's why I'm working on exit plan. I'm applying for an aliyah to return to my homeland of origin. My kid won't be educated anywhere near the United States. I now see it as a lost cause. Israel's higher education opportunities are far better for my kid. Technion is #1 on the list.

I recently sent a donation to Technion Institute in Haifa. They contacted me to thank me, and to inquire about what inspired my generosity. “Two reasons” I explained. “Technion is an outstanding research academy. Also last month my alma mater, Cornell, asked me for a donation.”
