I prefer to live my life 80-90% of the time, alone, safe in my bedroom than to live it being repeatedly infected by the evolving Sars-CoV-2 virus. This is part of my adaptation strategy.
Herd immunity never was, nor will it ever be, an effective strategy, as long as mass vaccination fails to prevent the spread of this mutating virus. Particularly since none of the following strategies are being used to effectively control or mitigate against its uncontrolled spread or the impacts of the disease of Covid-19 caused by it.

If vaccinations fail to prevent the spread of a disease, it is crucial to implement a multi-faceted approach to control and mitigate its impact. Here are some strategies that can be considered:
1. Enhanced Public Health Measures: Reinforcing and strictly adhering to public health measures such as wearing masks, practising physical distancing, and maintaining good hand hygiene can help reduce the transmission of the disease.
2. Testing and Contact Tracing: Implementing widespread testing, efficient contact tracing, and isolation measures can help identify and isolate infected individuals to prevent further spread of the disease.
3. Targeted Interventions: Implementing targeted interventions in specific areas or populations experiencing high transmission rates can help contain outbreaks and prevent broader spread.
4. Health Education and Communication: Providing accurate and timely information to the public about the disease, its transmission, and preventive measures can help promote awareness, compliance, and behaviour change.
5. Supportive Healthcare Systems: Strengthening healthcare systems to ensure adequate resources, healthcare personnel, and infrastructure to manage and treat those affected by the disease is essential.
6. Research and Development: Continued research into new treatment options, therapeutics, and preventive measures is crucial to improving our understanding of the disease and finding effective solutions.
It's important to note that each situation is unique, and strategies should be tailored to the specific disease, its characteristics, and the local context. Collaboration between health authorities, policymakers, scientists, and the public is vital to effectively respond to a disease when vaccinations alone may not be sufficient to control its spread.
