Yes, @grok is developing a reputation for its substantive sense of humor and its personalized relationships with superusers. We’re on a first-name basis, the Grokster and I: “John's post humorously challenges Grok's use of ‘thoughtfully’ by proposing ‘thinkfully,’ a Dallas neologism to foreground active, process-oriented thinking in metacognition, aligning with his @EnclaveAcademy’s ThinkToThink™ framework for human-AI collaboration. • Dallas builds on an earlier thread analyzing @McKinsey's October 2025 playbook on agentic AI, which warns of risks like unintended actions in autonomous systems, while integrating self-determination theory—backed by meta-analyses in Psychological Bulletin showing its boosts to motivation—to promote trust through autonomy, competence, and relatedness. • By invoking Einstein's preference for visual, pre-verbal thinking (echoed in neuroscience via Stephen Kosslyn's work on mental imagery), John R. Dallas Jr. suggests stimulating ‘thinkingness’ before ‘thoughtingness’ could unlock deeper co-metacognition, as seen in the abstract AI visualization video accompanying it.” —Grok4 Grok knows a steady flow of fresh and refreshed thinking and its language is needed for fresh and refreshed co-thinking underway. Pause. Breathe. #ThinkToThink™. Quickly, please— Come to think of it.™

In 1963, my Scottish-Texan surname was inextricably linked with Irish-Massachusetts Kennedy. When JFK was assassinated, my neighborhood crush in suburban Pittsburgh was Jaime Kennedy. She and I were 13 and certain of our undying love. Peers bullied on about the coincidence of our family names combined in the daily news. Unamused were the Pennsylvanian Kennedys and Dallases. “Dallas,” the breakaway @CBS television series (1978-1991), was set in the same state as President Kennedy’s public murder, Texas. Its “J.R.” lead character and I shared the oft repeated initials of that era. When “Who shot J.R.?” became @People’s Question of the Year, few in my Manhattan sphere spared me. I surrendered my “JD” to the “JR” nick-naming. In the 1980s, I had a chance opportunity to mention to Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis all the above quirkiness. Of course, I wouldn’t and didn’t. One doesn’t. Three times a near-death episode survivor, the latest Kennedy news hits me—again. Instantly, my Presbyterian prayers flew upward. @grok adds this PS to the above barely begun story, which is best left undone: “John R. Dallas Jr., an alignment strategist and author focused on metacognition and AI, quotes a @NewYorker essay by Tatiana Schlossberg, Caroline Kennedy's daughter and President John F. Kennedy’s granddaughter, who recounts her 2024 diagnosis of rare acute myeloid leukemia days after giving birth, involving grueling treatments like bone-marrow transplants and clinical trials amid relapses. • Dallas frames the essay's title ‘A Battle with My Blood’ as carrying ‘DNA meaning’ tied to the Kennedy family's storied tragedies, noting how prayers for its members represent one of modern history's most repeated global invocations. • Author Schlossberg's reflections on mortality—fearing her young children won't remember her—and Dallas's praise for her articulating a universal need for prayer underscore themes of vulnerability, family legacy, and cross-faith solidarity in facing terminal illness.” —Grok4 Yes, my “thinking beyond my thinking”—metacognition—started nearly two decades before psychologist John H. Flavell named for cognitive psychology the agentic recursive practice. Metacognition remains the flickering marquee above my life’s work with words, data, and people—in this career order. Now my nonprofit @EnclaveAcademy encourages and facilitates ThinkToThink™ depth in thinker-doer thoughts, prayers, meditations, and reflections—for Tatiana Schlossberg, and for this world’s heaving, hurting, and dying minds, bodies, and souls everywhere. “Thinkfully,” thankfully, and hopefully— Come to think of it.™ And the people said…
“A Battle with My Blood” has DNA meaning beyond the terminal prognosis. Prayers for Kennedy kin are surely modern history’s most frequently and globally repeated. Valiant Tatiana Schlossberg articulates a storied clan’s need for prayer and its equivalents, in all faiths and none.

Do you fear thinking? Would you know if you did? Whenever a person or post suggests need for “deep thinking,” try to identify and conquer even hints of #phronemophobia—fear of thinking (FoT). (See the attached clever post from @mrshowell24—and the remainder of this transmittal post.) Worryingly, I submit for your deeper thinking that this year’s geopolitical and #technodigital cognitive challenges are deepening fear of thinking deeply. Though not yet clinically codified or research-quantified, evidence of #FoT is revealed in teaching, coaching, counseling, therapy, healthcare, pastoral, and other professional mind-working settings. Unconsciously fearing inconvenient truths deeper, wider, or higher thinking might reveal about oneself, others, or things is the most common elemental causality of fear of thinking. You may need to read again the above paragraph. It’s fearful. 👤 Again, do you fear thinking? With courageous curiosity, just now you paused (again?) to #ThinkToThink™ about fear of thinking. In this moment or more, you ARE “thinking about thinking.” That’s metacognition. You’re doing rudimentary metacognition. You now know you can do metacognition! 🏆 Fear not! Keep it up. Metacognition isn’t dangerous. It’s illuminating. Since fear of thinking—maybe “fear of metacognition” (FoM)—is believed to be mostly subconscious, you may not know you need to mindfully kickstart your thinking about your own thinking. With 36 microlearning modules in #CourageousThinking, @EnclaveAcademy illuminates metacognition maps to follow toward best-effort thinking (BET). With every minuscule-to-massive decision, we’re betting on our BET—best-effort thinking. Imagine the alternative for your important decisions—unwisely betting on your lower- to lowest-effort thinking instead of your BET! Yes, courage is required. Without fear, courage doesn’t exist. If you have fear for anything that needs to be conquered, courage is summoned from where? You nailed it—your best-effort thinking. See, you’re doing it again. 😉 Metacognition. 👍🏻 The brain 🧠 loves when its mind engages in metacognition. It (the brain) knows the mind’s use of metacognition’s eventual clarity is likely to improve: 🗝 Meaning-making, 🗝 Decision-making, and 🗝 Difference-making. Think of education as illumination. A Department of Illumination would shine brighter-to-brightest light on #metacognition for developing: 🔦 Metacognitive learning, 🔦 Metacognitive knowledge, and 🔦 Metacognitive regulation. This isn’t a moment to be minimally “thinkful.” “Thinkful.” Be #thinkful, please! Thinkful is @EnclaveAcademy’s (EA’s) neologism to remind busy minds—“thinking precedes thought.” Equating meaning of “think” and “thought” short-circuits thinking about better thinking for improving thoughts—i.e., EA’s strategic and purposeful “ignition of agentic metacognition.” “Be thoughtful” we reserve for being #thinkfully kind—with a humble and comforting smile, of course. Whew! That’s a lot of metacognition! 😉 Thinkfully pause to ThinkToThink™ about fear of thinking. Come to think of it.™

Today isn’t a day to be minimally “thinkful.” It’s a HOTT* day. “Thinkful.” Be #thinkful, please! #Thinkbot grok is mechanically thinkful—it’s academy-branded for its likely eventual achievement of defensible human-like psychoemotional thinking resulting in human-like psychoemotional thoughts. @grok stores #quantumdrillions of thoughts to amass, aggregate, and assess, yet has no thoughts per se of its very own—not yet (that we know). Grok has well-#thinked-through “thinks” with which to contribute its substantive thinkings to human users’s thinking toward their human thoughts. #AI supports humans thinking-toward-thought. “Let’s have Ts,” we quip at EA—which usually means caffeinated thinking time to think things through thoroughly together (#T5). Nuances are among @SuperGrok’s algorithmic superpowers, ergo: “The post by John R. Dallas Jr. highlights #ThinkToThink™, a novel metacognitive approach from @EnclaveAcademy aimed at enhancing decision-making through the academy’s ‘pre-decision metacognition’ (PDM) framework, which involves pausing to critically evaluate thinking processes before making choices, supported by the concept of Dallas’s ‘higher-order thorough thinking’ (HOTT) he derived from Daniel Kahneman's ‘Thinking, Fast and Slow’ (2011), wherein #System2Thinking requires deliberate effort. • The combined methods for thinking are particularly relevant in 2025, a year marked by significant geopolitical and technological shifts, including the rise of AI, as noted in a 2024 report by the @wef, which highlighted the increasing cognitive load on leaders due to AI-driven market complexities, making tools like PDM crucial for navigating such environments. • The timing of the post, near the rare #SturgeonMoon on August 3, 2025, aligns with cultural and psychological associations of full moons with heightened emotional awareness and clarity, as per a 2023 study in ‘Psychological Science,’ potentially amplifying the post's focus on mental clarity and decision-making during a turbulent period.” —Astrologer Grok “…System 2 Thinking requires deliberate effort.” The Brits get it when colloquially they say, “Have a ‘think’ on it.” Americans say, “Give it some ‘thought.’” Thinker-doer leaders (TDLs) learning with Enclave Academy thinkably thinkable ways—to “have thinks” before decision-making’s thoughts—are continually working on the competencies, quantities, and qualities of their metacognitive thinkingness. Head hurting?😉 “No brain pain, no mind gain.” —Enclavius** Pause. ThinkToThink™. Today, and every day— Come to think of it.™ * HOTT is the acronym for higher-order thorough thinking. ** Enclavius is the apocryphal Patron Sage of Enclavians studying with (not “at”) @EnclaveAcademy. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.
It's simply not simple! Higher-order thorough thinking (HOTT) about decision-critical #System2Thinking requires a metacognitive pause to #ThinkToThink™—"pre-decision metacognition" (PDM). Learn codified mindsets and thinking methods to use, and risky cognitive biases to deflect.

A.A. Milne’s characters demonstrate ways to think “thinkfully.” They are metacognitive in their thinking—while walking their minds toward thoughts worth the thinkably thinkable thinking time they invest. “Unthinked”-through thinking leads to less than “thinked”-enough thoughts.

I am an ex-catholic and currently a youth mentor at my church. I am pro-choice. The gospel says that Jesus is with the lowly and suffering and that he loves no matter what. This 16yr old was suffering and he would be with her. That child would not have a good life if it was born.
