You do realize it's because Hoyo, ZZZ exist, right? Hoyo have this tendency to release uncommon genre in gacha space, from first open world gacha, proper, turnbase 3d, and Urban Fantasy post apocalypse. All these are not common in gacha before Hoyo released em.

Yes but you can play on easy mode : 3. You also have your companion npcs for support. It's different to gacha games with combat or like a unforgiving souls game. A lot of the gachas are rooted from that turn based system though. Ff7 remake is a mix of action and turnbase.
