These are 5 signs your design team is costing you money, when they should be making you money. Most designers and design teams genuinely believe they're adding value and contributing to revenue but management thinks they're a cost centre and they might both the right. 1. Design only gets called in after everyone else has decided what will happen. The strategy is set, the direction is chosen, and now you need someone to make it look good. 2. The only question anyone asks is "is it done?" Not "did it work?" Tickets are closed, SLAs are met, files delivered, boxes ticked, and nobody ever circles back to ask what any of it actually changed for the business. 3. Ask anyone in that company what the design team is actually working towards and watch what happens. Vague answers. Long pauses. If nobody can name the goal, then the team doesn't have one. 4. Every request is made the same way. "Can you make this look better?" "We need a quick version of this." No context, no brief, no reason. The design team isn't being briefed, but they're being pointed at when things go wrong. 5. The team has a budget. What they don't have is the authority to make any real decisions with it. They can execute beautifully, but inside a box someone else drew. Sighs! A design team that actually drives the business is in the room before the brief is written. Not after everything's been decided. Not during execution, before. That's the only real difference between a team that costs money and a team that makes it. Is your team making you money or costing you more? Let’s have a conversation. #designteams #designleadership #valuegeneration #designmanagament #creativestrategy

The 5 signs your design team is a cost centre, not a revenue driver. Most designers and design teams genuinely believe they're adding value but their companies think they're a cost centre and they might both the right. Here are 5 ways your design team might be the latter. 1. When design only gets called in after everyone else has decided what will happen. The strategy is set, the direction is chosen, and now you need someone to make it look good. That's not design leadership. "Great design" said with complete confidence. If nobody can name the goal, then the team doesn't have one. 4. Every request is made the same way. "Can you make this look better?" "We need a quick version of this." No context, no brief, no reason. The design team isn't being briefed, but they're being pointed at. 5. The team has a budget. What they don't have is the authority to make any real decision with it. Introduction to AI3.0 and The Age of Autonomy @AutonomysNet The evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be categorized into three broad phases, each characterized by a unique relationship between humans, decentralization, and AI. At Autonomys, we believe that the future of AI lies in decentralization, where humans are not just passive consumers but active participants in shaping the technology. The Three Phases of AI 1. AI1.0: Centralized Machine Learning - Deep learning became widespread with the development of frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, running on cloud computing provided by Big Tech. Humans interacted with narrow, rule-based systems designed for specific tasks. 2. AI2.0: Centralized Generative AI - Large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude emerged, offering more interactive AI experiences. However, these platforms are still controlled and deployed by centralized entities. 3. AI3.0: Decentralized Human-centric AI - Open, accessible, and collaborative web3-enabled AI model, app, and agent development and deployment. Decentralization ensures a transparent, composable, and secure ecosystem where innovation thrives.#Autonomys The Age of Autonomy In the Age of Autonomy, humans will not only interact with AI but also customize, train, and deploy their own highly personalized AI agents to act on their behalf. This paradigm shift will enable humans to maintain agency and relevance in a post-AI-revolution future. Autonomys proposes a human-centric vision of this future, guided by three fundamental human desires: safety, connection, and prosperity. The Autonomys Vision Autonomys aims to create a decentralized ecosystem where humans and AI agents collaborate seamlessly. With the Autonomys development platform, individuals and organizations can train and deploy agents, acquire valuable technological skills, and amplify their potential. The agent economy facilitated by Autonomys will foster a rich ecosystem of human and AI collaboration, enabling new avenues for entrepreneurship and value generation. @AutonomysNet Key Benefits - Decentralized and transparent ecosystem - Human-centric approach to AI development - Empowerment of individuals and organizations through AI agents - New opportunities for entrepreneurship and value generation - Preservation of human agency and economic relevance Join the Autonomys Community Be part of the movement shaping the future of AI and human collaboration.
