Our #cryoEM structure of #spider toxin Dc1a bound to a voltage-gated #SodiumChannel (#collab w/ Nieng Yang) shows Dc1a interacting with the domain II #VoltageSensor AND the S5 pore helix of DIII. This was not predicted by any theory of gating modification bit.ly/2LBUT9f
