Did this and it works great. Currently migrating from Firecracker to QEMU warmpool to get the best of all worlds.
CI for a multi-language monorepo (Rust, Go, TS, Zig, Java) is down to as low as 18s with:
- Firecracker snapshots
- ZFS artifact caching
- self-hosted bare metal.
This actually feels like cheating.

As the CCKW crosses into the EPAC, it’s likely that the wave will amplify in response to the warmth offered by the WHEM warmpool — likely not to the extent depicted by the GFS though. This should allow trade winds to reverse over a broad area of the far E. Pacific.
