"It never occurred to me that 'Wings of Desire' (1987) would play in the United States I just assumed it would be seen in Europe. I was wrong, and thank the Lord for it. Stories about angels have a built-in magnetism. It not only played here, it was immensely successful. I can't tell you how many people were affected and delighted by it."
