Salaam Alaikum wa Ramadan Mubarak, dear brothers and sisters, I speak to you today not as a politician, not as an academic, but as a fellow Somali who loves this country and its people. Like many of you, I share the weight of frustration, grief, and hope at the same time. Somalia is a nation of 60 million people, yet a few thousand individuals who lack the knowledge and integrity to lead hold it hostage. Look around. What has their leadership done for us? • Insecurity: where fear has replaced peace. • Poverty: where families go without a meal. • Division: where brother kills brother for the sake of politics. • Foreign control: where our fate is decided by others. • Corruption: where our government is operated like a business for their own gain. • Neglect: where our hospitals, schools, and institutions crumble while they make themselves rich. It pains me to see us, the people, left tofight over these individuals some defending them, others condemning them when in our hearts we know that they do not work for Somalia's future. They workonly for themselves. But I do not think Somalia is fated for this. And I do not think that we, the people, are powerless. The question we must ask ourselves is: How do we save our country from them? Inaction will allow Somalia to fight on. Our children will inherit a broken nation. But together if we refuse the politics of corruption and divisiveness we can change the course of history. I am not here to tell you who to support or what to believe. I am here to tell you: Somalia is ours, not theirs. We must take back our dignity, our pride, and our future. This is not a call for hate. This is a call for action. A call for unity. A call for leadership that serves the people, not themselves. Let us be the generation that says ENOUGH. Let us be the generation that saves Somalia. May Allah guide us, protect us, and give us the strength to rebuild our nation together.
