When i read about the arrest of a single only individual from an action that was political and stupidity... what to say. I can only share with you what you ruin in the name of stupidity for glory. I will not hide that AI helped me to manage my anger original text, i hope is understandable.
Well years ago serving in the global cybercrime division was not just a job it was a relentless battle against some of the darkest corners of humanity. Many people, including politicians and self-proclaimed heroes, have no idea how complex and grueling this work truly is. Missteps or premature actions often jeopardized entire missions, turning hard-earned progress into setbacks. Arresting one person is not a victory if it comes at the cost of uncovering a larger network.
Our work was far more intricate than what most people can imagine. It required patience, precision, and often, a stomach for horrors no one should have to endure. Officers, myself included, faced scenes so traumatic that some couldn't continue. Others, while pressing on, kept a bucket nearby in case they needed to vomit from the atrocities we uncovered.
Many of our cases began with families reporting suspicions, perhaps about a teacher or another trusted individual. When this happened, we conducted a thorough background check. If there were no ties to larger networks, the case was passed to a smaller investigative team. This team worked discreetly, gathering evidence through surveillance, interviews, or hidden cameras. Within five days, if evidence was sufficient, the case was handed to prosecutors to secure an arrest warrant.
However, when our investigation uncovered a suspect with a history of allegations or ties to more significant activities, my department took over. These cases required a much deeper, more coordinated approach, often in three stages...
We engaged with the suspect’s family, conducting subtle, psychiatric-friendly interviews to gauge if they were aware of or complicit in the crimes.
If the case involved a school or workplace, we worked discreetly to collect files, monitor behaviors, and gain insights from those around the suspect.
Once we had preliminary evidence, agents would shadow the suspect, intercepting communications, tracking online activities, and monitoring every interaction. This phase often included undercover agents posing as "friends" or even "children" in chatrooms to gain trust and infiltrate dark web networks.
Building trust with these individuals was one of the most challenging aspects. Unfortunately, this often meant receiving horrifying photos or videos as they tried to prove their involvement in their circles. Many of us were haunted by these materials, but we pushed through, knowing that each piece of evidence brought us closer to dismantling entire networks.
When the time came, arrests were coordinated globally, targeting every member of a network simultaneously. These operations saved not just one victim but often hundreds, while preventing future harm.
Actions of those who rush to arrest a single individual for the sake of publicity or social media clout. Focusing on one suspect while ignoring the bigger picture allows networks to regroup and resume their operations elsewhere. For instance, rescuing one child while failing to uncover a full network behind them might mean letting hundreds of other victims remain in harm’s way. Proper coordination and adherence to international protocols are vital.
The media and social media's sensationalism often hindered our work, turning a serious crime into a viral spectacle. In doing so, they inadvertently tipped off networks, making them harder to catch. These failures could have been avoided with careful planning, patience, and trust in the authorities trained to handle such cases.
This job was never about chasing headlines, it was about protecting the most vulnerable and bringing entire criminal operations to justice. For every single arrest that makes the news, there’s a chance to do much more: save hundreds of children, arrest dozens of predators, and dismantle expansive networks that thrive on secrecy. That is the true win, not a viral video, but a safer world.
How psychological shuffler by being a parent and follow strict protocols... that is another topic.
I have nothing else to say or comment and reply.
