Can’t quite believe that in 7 small little school days I will have finished my first year as an ECT!! Feels like 2 minutes ago when I was so close to giving up teaching because I wasn’t getting anywhere with jobs. So glad I stuck it out 🫶🏼🫶🏼 #year3ect @MrTs_NQTs

As a mentor to a year 2 ECT, I completely agree. However, there will be some who it’s beneficial for I guess and it protects teachers from just being set free into the wild world!

It's not been any different as it is a carbon copy of year 1 with a couple of extented reading activities. It's not been of a significant benefit this year. #ECT

It feels totally pointless! Nothing feels like a benefit... just more hoops. I can't wait for it to be done so I feel like a 'real' teacher (a year late)

I had some bickering in PE earlier in the week, so today I went in strong with sportsmanship and communication in sports and experienced the sweetest, most strategic ‘capture the flag’ tournament I’ve ever seen. Motivated kiddos never fail to amaze me! #year3ect

You definitely can write comments before you sign and this option cannot be turned off. If your name is already typed in though, check that your AB has not signed it off for you (they do have an option to do this).
