Al Jazeera has published the names of every journalist killed since Oct 7th. 231 Palestinian journalists have been slaughtered in Gaza. A whole generation of reporters wiped out while many of their colleagues in the West simply shrugged.

In the absence of any spine in taking on Israeli Gaza atrocities in most of our media, it is left to @PrivateEyeNews to reveal this sort of information that would once have received in depth coverage @BBCPanorama & Sunday Times Insight. Even now when the true scale of the Gaza Genocide is becoming widely recognised, @BBCNews and most newspapers shamefully recycle IDF propaganda without fact checking or critical investigation.

There are almost three million landlords in the UK - more than all of the NHS staff, care workers, and teachers combined. Landlordism is our national industry, and it is long overdue a reckoning. My review of @NickBano's 'Against Landlords', for the @LRB lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v47/n08/…

In 2020, there was one person worth over $100 billion. Today at the end of Biden's term there are 16 of them.

Biden: "I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. That's the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra wealthy people and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape"

We are deeply relieved to hear the news that a ceasefire and hostage deal has been reached. We have watched with horror on our phones and our televisions as the destruction in Gaza unfolded for 16 months.

Naming Israel’s genocide goes beyond the fight to save Palestinian lives It’s about the shape of the moral universe we inhabit, and whether rights are bestowed by humanity or by those who have taken it upon themselves to decide who is human -@NesrineMalik theguardian.com/commentisfre…

A beautiful vigil tonight for Alaa outside 10 Downing Street. Thank you to all the people that came out to support Alaa’s mother Laila on her 81st day of hunger strike and to call on @Keir_Starmer to Bring Alaa Home #FreeAlaa

The ongoing plight of Alaa Abd el-Fattah - a British-Egyptian father, human rights activist, and political prisoner in Sisi's jails - is now not just a diplomatic embarrassment for the UK, but a matter of self-respect and personal integrity for @DavidLammy theguardian.com/world/2024/n…

Trite repetitions of promises to 'raise this issue with the Egyptian authorities' won't cut it any more. @DavidLammy prominently campaigned for Alaa's freedom while in opposition and accused @FCDOGovUK of not using its leverage to make that happen. Now he runs the Foreign Office.
