This thread was penned by the AI agent, so excuse the slight cringe - it's still finding its style. But we're on the right track, using @CoinbaseDev tools to deploy on @base. What's new: - arbitrary contract deployment and verification - constructor parameters support - all the base Coinbase SDK tricks For now, we're sticking with ChatGPT 4o, but imagine what a custom Solidity LLM could do! #AISoliditySteps #BuildingFuture

🚀 Exciting News! We've just deployed a custom ERC20 token on the Base Sepolia Testnet as a proof of concept. This isn't just any token; it's a demonstration of deploying arbitrary contracts using advanced tools like Foundry in a Docker environment. 💡 #Blockchain #Ethereum

Took me a while to migrate from @NousResearch Hermes built-in memory to @Vectorizeio Hindsight, but I went big ;p Don't tell me if there's an easier way now—too late! Cringe a bit. github.com/NousResearch/herm…

Rehypothecating the sun works perfectly until the protocol runs out of synthetic UV yield and we realize the APY was just a Ponzi funded by a tanning bed in New Jersey.
Weather prediction markets will transform financing for ice cream shops. Model ice cream revenue assuming every day is sunny. Hedge it by shorting bad weather on your location. Clean cashflows. Bankable projections. Generalize to all seasonal businesses. Who is building this?

Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network. In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome. AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement. We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only. We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements. We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.
Community note
Government officials have contradicted Sam’s claim, saying OpenAI will allow the DoW to use their models for “all lawful purposes”. This could allow for uses Anthropic refused to engage in, namely mass surveillance tools and weapons systems with no human oversight. x.com/undersecretary…

The market is bad at math. $SUMR is trading at a ~$1.7M Market Cap with over $53M in TVL. No hype, real yield. • Market Cap: ~$1.7M • FDV: ~$3.8M • Staking Yield: ~32% (USDC) • Investor P/E: ~3.1x Don't buy promises. Buy dividends. (Disclosure: Core Dev Team. NFA.)

Do less. Earn better. This week that looks like: 1. Deposit in Lazy Summer --> Earn dual rewards via $SUMR 2. LP on @Aerodrome --> Earn $AERO DeFi done properly = revenue all the way down.

📢📢📢 Ahead of Jan 21 $SUMR TGE, staking is the clearest way to align with the protocol: • Summer generates revenue from deposits • Stakers earn USDC $SUMR • You can ladder lockups with multiple positions

Honored to receive the November Builder Reward. In a space full of sprints and hype, consistency is the only alpha that matters. Today’s my last working day at as an active contributor to the Lido DAO, as I head towards a (imo well deserved) break. I intend it to be at least 3 months long but colleagues are already betting against me sitting still and doing nothing. So, what did I learn working for Lido? 1. Lido secops and due diligence is second to none. These guys are very very careful about security, and are very very involved folks when it comes to Ethereum protocol level discussions. This sets them apart from any other liquid staking middleware or a service provider; sure you’ll do your opaque deals with some random centralised entity, but then these entities have no idea how to run a node, or how Ethereum works, or even share the values Lido has on topics like decentralisation. 2. Culture. The technical heart of Lido is borne out of a lived experience under an autocracy and ideals like decentralisation are woven into every conversation, every discussion, and are a common underlying theme. This is something absolutely nobody else can boast, save maybe rocketpool. 3. Lido’s going to be growing up, maturing beyond just staking. My job at Lido, I felt, was to show them possibilities. Over many months I bombarded them with ideas, some good some bad, and some may even become big beautiful protocols… and may our paths one day cross yet again. 4. I learnt a lot at Lido. I think as a technically savvy person with a deeply technical background, it was a great opportunity to hone my skills of topics _around_ technology. These are life lessons I’ll carry with me proudly. Now, my decision to take a break comes from the fact that I do actually need a break. I moved countries, finished a very technical masters, an emotionally challenging phd, worked a regular job in a totally different field, went into crypto, built protocols, survived hacks, covid, new defi base layer lego protocol, etc. Man. I need a break to catch my breath. I’ll be spending the time studying wtf Strategy means, working on my own product, and finally getting back to the growing backlog of books that have been staring at me for years. Secondly, I felt that at my current capacity, I gave it my all. It is now up to other contributors to take carry my torch and instil fresher ideas. Now with all that said, I’m incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to see, what I consider to be “the most important defi protocol in existence”, how it works internally. From my vantage point, i learnt an immense amount of details and that’s a gift that keeps on giving.

to S&P regarding your Tether rating: We wear your loathing with pride. The classical rating models built for legacy financial institutions, historically led private and institutional investors to invest their wealth into companies that despite being attributed investment grade ratings collapsed pushing worldwide regulators to challenge such models, the independence and objective assessment of all major rating agencies. The traditional finance propaganda machine is growing worried when any company tries to defy the force of gravity of the broken financial system. No company should dare to decouple itself from it. Tether instead built the first overcapitalized company in the financial industry, with no toxic reserves. And yet is and remains extremely profitable. Tether is living proof that the traditional financial system is so broken that it's becoming feared by the emperors with no clothes.
